You have to be very careful with dance poles. The only one that seems reliable is the X Pole. If you want to inverts & spins get that via there website so you have it brand new for safety. I only have a cheap little pole that's not for spins and inverting. By the looks of it this sexy pole is suppose to be safe for spinning and inverts yet there is no way it can be safe unless it has locking through out. Heavy screws won't keep it sturdy f it's flimsy to begin with. I'm saving for x pole: safer!

i was really upset at first when i got my sexy little pole because it isnt so secure as they claimed with ONLY ceiling fixture. so i figured id secure it to the floor, but I CANT in my apartment!!!!! so i sold it to my cousin and she did just that, and by doing so THEN the pole becomes a little safer. For $135 this pole wasnt bad. Considering the experience i had with my sexy little pole, i ended up buying the xpole 50mm and MAN for $350, the BABY was worth it! you can do just bout anything.

i would defo get some cement screws to screw into floor yes,i learnt my advanced tricks on this pole,so i would say once you have it secured bottom and top its safe to learn any trick, it did come with a dvd but i didnt use it, i learnt from the vertical dance workouts instructed by kt coates, which are really good.

i found this pole totally safe, but i made sure the pole was screwed bottom and top so if you can do that i would say its safe, however, i cant say how safe it is when you just screw it into the ceiling, the makers say fixing it to the top is safe to use and do advanced trix on it,i just felt safer fixing it to the bottom and top. Is there anyone out there that uses this pole and has it fixed only to ceiling???

Manufactures of the pole say in the instruction manual, the pole is equipped to cope with inverts and doing the more advanced trix with just screwing the top of the pole into the joist of the celing.I just secured it to the bottom of the floor to xtra,xtra safe

You can definitely flip upside down on it,as you screw the pole into the ceiling. With mine, i also put screws into the floor around the base of the pole so it was fixed bottom and top, although the manufactures dont suggest this, i did,just to be on safe side!

and i found this one (my little) for only £40...
