the tape isn't slowed down at all, when balls clip the net, they can travel extremely fast regardless. his net balls aren't like the ones that slow down a lot and land on the table, all his shots where the ball clips the net has the ball going out of bounds. not much momentum was lost there

yeah it hits the table. the ball flies straight ahead when it does. when it doesnt it hooks down towards the grown. and the rubbers he uses are national quality, which means the sponge is usually softer then the crappy ones we get lmao..and yes he puts 8 sheets of speed glue.
looks may be deceiving but these half-long side backspin balls the trainer is throwing at him are pretty difficult balls. To see how he takes them on effortlessly is amazing.
notice that he stops and tries locking his arm movement about halfway, thus it allows a faster movement of the ball. the more you snap and stop your arm, the more power and speed there is in the ball. the more arm movement without the body is made makes more spin with less power and speed.
