hm how is the image stabilisation on this model? i ask because when i bought one of these last year i was not impressed with the quality of the auto focus and general shakiness of the video, and i sent it back.

Honestly, i'd want more than a tiny mobile phone sized lens for almost £100. Would be interested to see how it compares with a basic 1080p capable compact camera.

zx5 Positives as you state

Problems are:

Display can not be rotated, try taking video low down.

Zoom too close to record buttion, too easy to press in error.

Door flaps look delicate and cold be easierly caught whie chariing / tranfare files

Display nearly always looks like it is grubby marks on it, even if clained.

Macro, need to change under settings

Other wise good video quality, small, etc

Based on what i saw in your unboxing video,I actually went out and bought this Pocket Camcorder,Not the exact same one you have here in this video review though,but one that is available in the local PCWorld. Without revealing 2 much about what i have planned,I would have to say i have mixed opinions on this product,Still 50/50 on my over all opinion,Great features as well as the Auto Focus,Fantastic Review Dave. Dave, will the battery survive cold conditions, because i was thinking of buying this exact product to film when i go snowboarding, but if it can't survive really cold conditions i don't see the point in buying one, thanks.
