Listen Hasek is the best goalie of all time. The two goalies that are right next to him are Roy and Plante. O and as far as snow angels go yes hasek does do snow angels and he makes the save almost everytime he does them.

Broduer is a fucking hack. He makes 6 saves a game. Holds records he doesn't deserve. If my defense did everything for me I could play for 78 games a year too. Fuck him. He hasn't done shit since 03' and people still are so amazed by his weak playoff presence. He's tied for the losingest goalie of all time in playoff overtime history. He also let's in some of the worst 5 hole shots i have ever seen. He's nothing more than a product of his environment. Roy and Hasek are bar none better.

Brodeur is a very good goaltender in his own right. Yes, he hasn't always had the best playoff performances; but year after year he has stood as one of the top goaltenders of the league. He deserves most of the praise he receives.

this should honestly say best "goalie" of the 98 playoffs, that being said, it was Dom Hasek, who had a weeker defensive team then kolzig, he proved to be best a year later to in the 99 playoffs as well, if my memory serves me correct he took a week team into the finals then as well.

Save percentage doesn't lie. Hasek has generally lead the league in that statistic, so it was pretty incredible that Kolzig managed to beat him out in the playoffs.

As for Chris Osgood, he was pretty solid in net for the Wings in 1998, but did nothing really spectacular or carried his team on his shoulders like some of the other goaltenders did. Even when Hasek won the Stanley Cup with the Wings he didn't have to be all that great.

As for Dominik Hasek, although he was great as usual, he was outperformed by Kolzig nnd that's probably why Hockii dedicated so much time to him in this video. Check out their playoff statistics for that year and you be the judge:

The 1998 NHL playoffs definitely had some brilliant goaltending on display. Curtis Joseph's performance against Colorado allowed his team to defy the odds and come back from a 3-1 series defict and caused that jerk Claude Lemieux to go ballistic and destroy his stick over the crossbar in frustration lol! Cujo's play in that series was definitely the highlight of the playoffs and something that no fan who watched it will ever forget. In essence, Joseph stole that series in the end.

In my opinion dominik Hasek is a hall of famer... he basically carries every team to the playoffs and hes forty years old this season with the second best GAQA and the best Save percentage... tell me thats not amazing... Back then it really was a battle of the goalies... I remember curtis Joseph was absolutely unstoppable he made 40 or 50 saves a game and they were all great... A salute to these goalies
