epic fail......he lived in West Texas after the murder of his "stepfather" not arizona, and he wasn't killed by Pat Garrett, this is well known. Whoever made this "documentary" doesn't know shit.
The beginning made it look like billy the kid killed just because he was mad, he was scared into being a criminal. He was blamed for helping his friend steal something like candy and was put in jail for like a week, but he thought it was more serious because he was caught trying to steal something before that and his mom said "You'd better stop stealing or you'll be hung before you're 21" and his first kill was to protect, the second group was vengeance, and the guards were because he was scared
according to The Authentic Life of Billy, The Kid, by Pat Garrett when Murphy had the kid and his crew held up in the Mcsween house, the kid made his escape in the dark through the back door. It was nothing as dramatic as the movie and many of his crew made it with him. The one thing interesting was some guy named Ignacio (I cant remember the last or maybe teh first name of the guy) but he was shot when trying to escape, he pretended like he was dead all night until everyone left & then he left
As the account goes (if I recall correctly) after the kid cleared out there was a big party that Murphy & his men had in front of the house. Murphys men celebrated & even shot some of the dead men of Kids crew who didnt make it, including Ignacio. He laid there through it all and pretended as if he was dead. When Murphy's men finally cleared out, he got up and hobbled away for medical attention or whatever. It was a very interesting story, who knows if it was really true but its in the book lol
Murphy had retired by the time of the 5 day seige at the McSween house,, Jimmy dolan was in charge of the store at that time, and the name of the wounded mcsween man that played dead was Yginio salazar
It was Nolan the name of the man who got Tunstall murdered, not Murphy. The deputies were Sheriff Ian Brady's, who was in the pay of Nolan (1875 circa). But very good film, thanks for posting it
check your history... there is no way BTK would have used a pump-action shotgun since the first one wasn't invented until 1893 by John Browning. Also, it sounds like all of your "facts" came from the Young Gun movies.....
@joe549549 If you've got the budget to redo this little video with professional actors, period clothing and period weapons, by all means, go ahead. For the budget that they probably had, it looks good.
there is no evidence other than a couple old geezers who SAID roberts was bonney, right?
if i had a few of my friends to say i was john wayne, would that mean it was in doubt?
i think its safe to say he is dead. if evidence ever comes out then it will turn out thats wrong. until then, we must assume he was killed by garret (in a cowardly way, by all accounts)
Those old geezers were actual friends of billy the kid. Some of the Regulators, he had scars Billy had and told parts of Billy's life only he could know. Believe what you believe but evidence is evidence.
there is actually one thing they are still not sure if he really died or if he lived on o be brushy bill roberts but for now they are leaving him marked as dead until they have more proof
Sure anything for you Mister Kid! Whoa Dude! your Billy the Kid... Most Excellent! Sorry I'm wanting wanting to watch Bill and Ted and then I wanna watch Young Guns.
@meca94 no garett killed the kids friend by mistake , then had him buried almost right away , if you killed a famous outlaw wouldent you have taken pics of him dead as proof , which was custom in those days
there is actually one thing they are still not sure if he really died or if he lived on o be brushy bill roberts but for now they are leaving him marked as dead until they have more proof
...and for Christ's sake, they have settled the fact the Brushy Bill was not Billy the Kid! It's over, he died! Just like Jesse James. It's nice to play make believe, but we live in reality.
ummm...why is billy the kid using a rifle from like 10 years ago and wearing jeans?? contrary to popular belief, cowboys didn't wear wranglers, not before 1881 at least...
brush up on the historical accuracy and redo this!
it has potential, but the blue jeans need to go! and the guns need to be at least within 5 years of billy's death, even that's a stretch, but an understandable one!
Well, believe it or not Billy the Kid was counted as a gangster because he was in a gang.He was a cowboy for like a year or a few months when he was with Tunstall.
I don't understand what you're referring to. I never said he wasn't a gangster... I said he didn't wear denim jeans and was basically making a remark that the clothing and weapons the actors are wearing/using are from present day and are not historically accurate. I agree with you, you could call him a gangster :)
I told a grown up at the cowboy museum Billy's real name and he was surprised. He told me billy was a gangster.I had my hopes up at that time so I was disappointed.
i'm a huge fan and i really don't think he was bad. sure he commit some crimes. what ever stolen laundry, not a bad thing and all the people he killed were trying to kill him. he was fighting the bad guys, so i think he was really a good person.that's just me. when i watched young guns and tunstall died i cried it was so sad, and i cried when billy died to but it's also a funny movie as well, i could watch that thing every day.
He commited only 4 murders alone and one of them was Self Defense and the others were trying to kill him.The only thing that can be held against him were stealing but he should've only been in jail for a while is all not hanging or life in prison.
@Salien1999 well he did kill bob olinger in cold blood and the guard but I can understand killing the guard to get away but he could of left without killing bob but then again one less person breathing down ur back I guess. Hes not the cold blooded killer they make him out to be. He never really had family and tunstle was like family to him his best friend and he vowed to get revenge but they were mostly in self defense.. and sheriff brady was shot in the street but he organized tunstles murder
@MegaMercer09 No one knows exactly what happened in that staircase. Bob could've tried to pull his gun (considering he would have probably been hanged if he didn't) and Billy killed him first. They found a ton of blood at the top of the staircase, which is a hole in the legend of that murder. We haven't proven the details so we really don't know if that was as cold blooded as thought.
billy was not killed by hes friend pat ......hense the word pals on hes grave...the kid lived a full life.. dies at the age of 90 in texas...its a fact
tunstall was only 24 years old...billy was 19 when he was supposedly shot dead...they said he was 21 cuz thats made him an adult in the eyes of the law..the movie young guns is pretty spot on, its got the facts but in a different order.
billy the kid did not die of the hands of his ex friend, he let him go and killed someone else, why will they not dig him up to prove that it really is bill in that grave? because the us goverment knows it is a lie and they don't want all the history re written over on man being alive when they said he was dead,
Nice use of Calico Ghost Town California. It's Obvious this sin't New Mexico. But good Improvistation. However, I am sure you could have gotten better and more suitible clothing from some of us Volenteers.
i know the real truth ok billy the kid was shot by pat garret (the Sherrif) who used to be in billy's gang but wanted to open a store but when billy left pat was left an offer to be sherrif and 1,000 i think to kill billy. billy did get shot and die but somehow he came back alive not a zombie or anything like that it was like a miracle and died in November, 1950 and Pat Garrett (The Sherrif) was killed by a 21 yr. old man. That's the truth
