  • 2:01 -- as opposed to "consensual" rape?

    2:10 -- Reb Brown?

2:30 -- Or how Nimoy pronounces them: "Marshmelons"

2:49 -- Romano, did you just miss your interview on Wall Street?

    2:51 -- "Kiss my ass"

  • Hooker sounded stern but fair

  • Damn I'm getting this on DVD asap.

  • That was the most ridiculous speech ever. The only thing that makes it work is that Captain James T. Kirk is delivering it.

  • it's always good to follow a motorcycle while jogging

  • @connieplankghost Because nowadays we have pussy whipped- reality based jerkoff shows. This and shows like A-Team, Magnum PI and MacGyver showed we dont have to sit back and take it from the badguys. Hooker is 100% right in his speech. We all need cops like Hooker.

  • I remember this i think. All the cars exploded, even if they just scratched the paint a little.

  • @NorwegicusOnAstick True, but they at least had the patience to wait for Hooker to rescue the drivers before they exploded. :) What gets me is the amount of money that went into all the gasoline for each episode. Nearly every week Hooker would total another Black and White! And he never wore a seatbelt!

.... I miss shows like these

  • yaayyy shatner!!

    <3

  • tjhooker and the new Adam-12 were my favourite police shows in this days may they r.i.p but return one day on oure tvs even we need mcgyver riptide and thunder in paradise back we need them all back

  • This is effing brilliant!

Sounds like a tough town they live in. ;o)

    I love the Shat!

  • Yeah, well done "Romano". Turn up for a job like that in a three-piece suit, why don't you...you're a disgrace to the T Birds! That aside, I bloody loved this show. One of the best theme tunes of the 80's also.

  • It's the 80s, man. Cheese was golden back then. Nowadays, everything is reality crap. Bring back 80s cheese for once. Knight Rider, The A Team, Magnum, P.I, etc. All those shows had something that reality shows can never have at all.

  • I couldn't have said it better. ty

  • ok, i didn't watch the show till now, but does it contain car jumps as the ones in The Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider ?

  • The Shat is the man...

  • Now that was 100% Shatner

  • That was too damn cool! "Shatner! You Go Boy!!"

  • The T.J. stands for Thomas Jefferson. That makes him another TV character named after a Founding Father.

  • Just pure Shatner cheese on puree. Interesting that a director(a friend of Shatner's) also did directing on the original Star Trek series itself for this pilot episode.

  • Wow, he's wearing a girdle. I think I'm going to exercise...

BTW: He doesn't seem to act like Kirk at all.

  • "I love to weed out airheads and marshmallows!"

  • that was good all days watch that when i was a kid in the 80s

  • Did Shat just let himself go after the pilot. He actually looks in shape here...what the hell happened?

  • Same thing happened during all 3 seasons of Star Trek. He'd come back from holiday, working out all the time, keeping pretty busy riding motorcycles and God knows what else... and then he'd come back to do the show, and there'd be a lot of waiting around. And eating. And more waiting...

    That's filmmaking for you :/

  • Heh, this was the same year Shatner filmed Star Trek The Wrath Of Khan. He should of shouted KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!! at the new recruits just for good measure!

  • Yeah. Rofl.

  • i loved this program it was great

  • for me is strange. I always think in captain kirk when shatner is acting.

  • Because he is always acting like Cpt Kirk. That's what make him so great hehe

  • I love it! I wish he'd delivered that speech in Star Trek II when he was addressing the cadets in the opening scene! That would have been hilarious!

  • I really love TJ Hooker. When I was a kid we used 2 play cops and robber and we all wanna b like TJ Hooker :)

  • I grew up with shows like TJ Hooker, A-team, Knight Rider, Airwolf, McGyver etc. T.J. Hooker is definitely one of the best tv shows ever made. Thanks for the clip CTF.

  • Amen to that.

  • At least Cliff Bole directed that episdoe. He's a great Star Trek director (among other things!)

  • Well, I feel inspired to fight crime:)

You have to love William Shatner.

  • Too funny!! I think that shot of the Police Academy is the same stock footage from The Rookies and Charlie's Angels.
