@amg703 unlocked means that you do not need to start or currently have a contract with AT&T. You could carry it over to T-Mobile if you wanted. I'm sure you could do the same outside of the country
@dweasel30 You have to take into consideration that it is an unlocked iPhone. The only other way to buy this phone unlocked without a contact would force you to pay $600 or $700 from Apple or AT&T. This is also a brand new phone so I'm actually cutting you guys a deal
