I've always loved this song ever since the original version recorded by Bill Withers. It's just one of those "feel-good" songs bursting with positive energy and "lovely" lyrics of love, joy, and happiness... reminding us how beautiful life can be. Like Miss Ross has said of this song, each time I hear it on the radio, I just want to get up and dance! Oh, did I mention that I'm a big fan of Diana Ross? Well, it's no surprise then that this is now one of my favorite video posts on youtube!!!

@lassley actually, as i listened to this again and again, the only "flaw", if you call it that, which i could think of in comparison to Bill Wither's original version is/are those long notes towards the end of the song he got so much praise for... you know, "a lovely dayyyyyyyyy (repeated several times until fade).... well, that's Bill Wither's signature trademark, not Diana's. And come to think of it, who can hold a note that long besides him?

Don't know why some folks rated this video down. I think this cover is really good, it's distinct from Withers' original (unlike some of the other remakes/remixes). Thanks for posting this.

This song is my favorite on the I Love You CD. Diana musicians added a nice flavor of a slight jazzy sound along with that soul beat. It's a beautiful piece. I play this song quite a bit. Diana, you are a Lovely Day.
