  • great mission.

  • don't go to the link on the right called Call of Duty: Space Warefare Teaser Trailer!

  • It's not nuke. it's a EMP .

  • @ton44048 a EMP is actually a nuke in space you idiot

  • EMPs come from nukes you idiots >_>

  • I can deal with the fact that there is an explosion in space. What is hard for me to swallow however is that the shock wave travelled so far

  • @srdjan455 still, explosion in space- .- *sigh*

  • ITS AN EMP NOT A NUKE!!.... just saying.

  • @HellfireHawks nukes are what cause EMPs =_=;

  • Its called a EMP but ok.

  • this part was my fav part cause i love space :D

  • you fuckin idiot its an emp (electro magnetic pulse)

  • @xXInSaNexObiXx you are the fucking idiot for created a EMP you need the exploded a nuke in the space

  • shut the fucking music off if its you

  • Comment removed

  • Shockwaves in space eh?

  • Cod4 Was best Cod, MW2 Best Campaign, MW3 best is spec ops.

  • A nuclear explosion sets off an EMP. This nuke was detonated far enough above the surface that the explosion itself wouldn't have harmed any soldiers on the ground but it was close enough to Sat1 that the shockwave affected him. So stop saying it was an EMP and not a nuke, its one complete package.

  • @twix0212 and why do they scream EMP!!!?

  • @jaberd100 Because they were too far away from the actual explosion. When the bomb detonated it was in the upper atmosphere, the explosion itself was harmless at first. But the soldiers in DC couldn't get away from the electromagnetic pulse, which is what knocked out all the power.

  • @twix0212 Wrong. Its an EMP nuke. Its the newest form of nuclear technology thats meant to disrupt and destroy all electronics but doesn't affect humans like typical nukes do. Do your homework

  • @SlaughteredInside No, dude, you're wrong. It is a regular thermonuclear bomb. Because it was detonated in low orbit, the EMP (which is emitted by any nuclear explosion) was scattered over an extremely wide area in relation to the actual explosion.

  • @Rygith Nuclear weapons are not typically detonated from space, they are detonated just above or at ground level. The EMP is detonated from low orbit for maximum effective range in disturbing electronics. Think about it numb-nuts, if your trying to kill people w/ a thermonuclear bomb, would you want it detonated at ground level where most people are? or in fucking space??? So tired of you kids that dont know shit leaving comments.

  • @SlaughteredInside Did you even play the game? They weren't trying to kill anyone with the nuke. They purposely detonated it in low orbit so that the resulting EMP would cut off electronics and hinder the invading Russians in the US. Seriously dude, do at least a little research before making yourself look stupid.

  • @Rygith Your so retarded I cant believe I'm arguing w/ you....America wouldn't detonate a nuke or an EMP on their own ground for the sake of taking out invaders you fucking idiot. Notice how the Marines (American) were more affected by it than the russians? It was a Russian attack on America moron. Hence the reason why the EMP (Not nuke moron) Came from over seas.

  • @SlaughteredInside Haha, play the game then come back bro. You just made it obvious that you have no idea what's going on in this video.

  • That's not a nuke, it's an EMP

  • what are you people talking about its a e.m.p

  • where did the shock wave come, if there's a vacuum?

  • how would ur sattelite just fucking fall apart like that. its not like its being held together by electricity

  • -.- its an EMP!!! EMP DUDE! ok just so yu knew :D

  • I've not played mw2. Why is there a nuke in the first place? what does it have to do with the ISS?!

  • @EpicRoo1 Basically the Russians have invaded the US after bypassing their early warning system. Rather than threatening Russia with full scale nuclear war as would actually happen, an American officer decides to detonate a nuke over the East Coast, cutting off Russian communications, command, and support. It also cripples the American economy, but it's a game, so no one cares about that.

The ISS is destroyed through really really bad nuclear physics.

  • @CobaltX07

This is the same universe where the Russians go insane and invade Europe and the US over the CIA sponsoring a single terrorist attack on an airport.

  • EMP stands for Electromagnetic Pulse, is an effect caused by nuclear detonation.

  • this is not anuke this is a emp

  • Is this a nuclear or atomic bomb? If it's a nuclear bomb, then this scene doesn't make sense what so ever...

  • @VoguishArts Are you for real? An Atomic bomb and nuclear bomb is the same freakin' thing.

And there is no such thing as an EMP bomb. The Nuclear/Atomic bomb creates a EMP shockwave.

    Fucking A.

And no, the ISS should not have been destroyed.

  • @EliasO89 I never spoke of anything such as an EMP bomb. Fuck, you act as if i'm a fucking specialist. Chill the fuck out, it was just a question. This isn't what a nuclear explosion would look like from space, there would just be a breif dim light. There'd be little heat because the heat is a result of the radiation interacting with the atmosphere around it. Also, there'd be no shockwave either, some sort of medium would be needed for it to travel around.

    Fucking A.

  • @VoguishArts The explosion wasn't completely in space, it was in the upper atmosphere, allowing it to look more like a standard airburst nuke. It is true the ISS and astronaut should have been unaffected though, as not only are there no shockwaves in space, but they are far enough away that even a 50 mt Russian Tsar Bomb wouldn't have been able to generate enough radiation to reach them.

  • It's so funny that people think that an emp is a type of bomb, IT'S NOT! A nuclear warhead us detonated at a certain Height so that instead of blowing everything to shit, it disables electronics, an emp Is a result of a nuke, the explosion releases a wave of electrons that disable all electronics, u are wondering why not just nuke them? Because an emp does more damage than a nuke ever could, but in mw2, it's bs cuz not even 4 nukes could have had the power to do that to that guy from that far a

  • looooooooooooooool

  • its not a fucking nuke its an emp you idiot

  • DAD SPACEEEEEEEE IS BLOW! :'(

  • I know where the astronaut came from who killed the doctor (doctor who).

Ok so the nuke goes off in modern warfare 2, the spaceman (sat 1) gets knocked out, he somehow survives re-entry and falls to the ground, into a lake. He sees the Doctor Who team filming the episode next to the lake, the astronaut has absorbed some radiation from the blast so he puts out his arm to the doctor in the hope that he would help him (the astronaut), but he accidentally discharges the radiation, killing the doctor

  • @samosammo123 lol what are u talking about

  • @lipskamafia

the astronaut who comes and kills the doctor is that spaceman!

  • @samosammo123 lol who said that he killed him

  • @lipskamafia

Hang on, watch the first episode of the new series, called the impossible astronaut, at the start the doctor gets killed by an astronaut. then his other self (don't know how he came around), asks where is the other doctor, the others cannot tell him because then the doctor will know his future, River does as she knows what happens at the end of the series at the battle of demons run. SO THERE!

  • @lipskamafia i think he talking from the pentagon thief

  • @samosammo123 Doctor Who Died?..........

  • @hunterfly70

watch the episode, he kinda does, it is his future, watch it carefully

  • @samosammo123 Hahaha it was River.

  • It's a bloody nuke, a nuke CREATES an EMP. It wasn't an actual EMP, it was just detonated in the atmosphere, high enough so that it didn't cause any nuclear damage, only the EMP effect. Go learn something.

  • that is not nuke...that's EMP

  • @DwawTy thank you

  • Cptn dunn: EMP!

    Play the game.

    Pay attention to the video.

  • @MrMasterMinecraftMan I might be wrong but i think its a emp

  • ya certain nukes cause emps its something to do with sudden flucating in the magnetic field. But nobody thinks of the emp they just wanna see the explosion

  • Its the Aurora

  • Electro-Magnetic Pulse

  • no pressure wave in space...

  • This IS a Nuke! EMPs are a by-product of EVERY nuclear explosion, but the intent wasn't to blast thing up it was to play with the Compton effect at hight altitude the EMP is strengthened so much that one Nuke is enough to destroy the power grid and every electric device in an entire country or continent!

And the targeted country would travel back in time 400 years in a second! I say 400 not 200 because every infrastructure is GONE!

  • My faviourite part of mw2 :3

  • whats the name of THIS song

  • @TheTanzaku idk i found it on google its free copyright songs

  • @lipskamafia this isn't nuke its a EMP you know that thing that shuts down electronics

  • +1 for this mission

  • music adds an epic touch to this

  • Just read "One Second After" by WILLIAM R. FORSTCHEN

The Fireball EMP gamma and rays are ok But the shockwave is a fail these no air in space: no shockwave!

That's why nukes would be pretty useless in spacewarfare

  • Nuke's produce an electromagnetic pulse, responsible for a temporary disability of electronic devices whether they be cars, watches, light bulbs, etc. I feel fucking retarded for having to explain this shit. This is what legitimately stupid people do to me: create stress. I'm sure that this is a shared opinion. What's so fucking hard about being resourceful and looking up the answers to the questions you seek? FUCK.

  • @beenohopps Maybe get your facts right first? An EMP wont affect large-scale electrical circuits like those in your house. It will affect small-scale electronics like watches and radios, but not temporarily - the increased voltage at a small scale will destroy the delicate electronics.

  • So much space, gotta see it all. SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCEEEEE

  • it's not a nuke u idiot, it is an emp

  • This is my favorite scene in MW2 (The EMP scene in space.)

  • @HaloNoobAlert ok it is an emp, but first of all an emp wouldn't freaking blow up the iss freaking 300000000 miles (exaderation) away. In fact it wouldn't blow up a house 1 mile away. second, nukes DO release enough electromagnetic interference to screw around like emps, even if the video doesn't have a nuke. Third nukes and emp rockets DO travel through vacuums because they have to achieve suborbital flight to get a long range. Lastly the iss hardly is fitted with 'modern military hardware'

  • Song name?

  • EMPs are results of electro magnetic radiation. Nuclear bombs produce gamma rays which are electromagnetic radiators.

  • its not a nuke its an EMP missle

  • @SuperTiberian There are NO EMP MISSILES. Nuclear bombs cause EMP effect.

  • How can you people even say what is EMP and what isn't EMP? There's no such EMP bomb existing in real life. EMP is caused by nuclear weapons detonated in specific altitude. ht tp://en.wikipedia.or g/wiki/Electromagnetic_pulse Who said that nuke detonated in space has to destroy everything on ground? This nuke wiped out the space station, 'nuff said. EMP is caused by nukes, EMP bombs are fictional and don't exist (maybe they do, but if they do then in complete secrecy).

  • @GRSynopsys YOUR ALL FUCKIN RETARDED how could that have been a nuke. a nuke would have basically wiped out all the soldiers no mater how high it was. PLUS all EMPs do is send a electromagnetic wave destroying all the electronics in sight. nukes just obliterate everything!!!!! this is just a game they have their own way of EMPing stuff

  • @TheLoveGames202 Y'know there's no such EMP bombs existing, so you're pretty much trying to act like a smartass. Nukes cause electromagnetic pulse, which is your all-beloved EMP. Considering that nukes are detonated just a few kilometers above the ground and this was detonated in space - such scenario of minimal damage to Earth is possible. Maybe it was a 5 megaton nuke? Who said it was 92915816767 megaton nuke that should have killed everyone? Smartass.

  • @Ricokz ok heres the thing, im trying to explain what happened here. not what the real EMP does. i mean look of the size of that thing, its not your average EMP obviously, but it looked exactly like an EMP. but your right nukes do cause electromagnetic pulses. this could have been because in the previous mission a nuclear missile was launched but in this mission the soldiers exclaimed it was an EMP. weird hu :/

  • @TheLoveGames202 I facepalmed when I read your post. "It's not your average EMP obviously" - how the fuck do you even know the size of EMP bomb considering that NO EMP BOMBS EXIST other than NUCLEAR bombs which cause EMP effect? What god damn stupid games have you been playing?

  • @Ricokz Bud EMP's exist it the secondary function of nukes

  • @Ricokz Bud EMP's exist it the secondary function of nukes detonating a nuke over US at I think it was 5 miles would destroy the entire country's electronic power grid it's a bigger threat than an actual nuclear strike

  • @HeadSHOT604 I facepalmed. Nuke causes an EMP, EMP bombs don't exist (that's what I said in my comment). I never said that electromagnetic pulse is a myth. Stop acting stupid, I hope you aren't as stupid as you're pretending to be, or you're just refusing to read my comment before replying to it.

  • @Ricokz oh that's what you mean xD

  • with What character are you playing when this happens.?

  • @Jafetator It's an ISS controller. He isn't a main character.

  • @IamTheiPhone Ok thanks.

  • @IamTheiPhone Poor bastard.I'd hate to be him! :(

  • That Astronaut Just became an Astro-NOT

  • pein shinra tensei

  • @yettii0077 Wow stop spamming that all over the place , dumbitch

  • does the astronaut keep floating in space then till he dies?

  • ITS NOT NUKE BUT EMP ROCKET WHAT LAUNCH A CPT.PRICE

  • @kane526 You can't see nukes, but nukes leave emp's behind them.

  • WOULD YOU FUCKERS SHUT UP ABOUT EMPS? THE ONLY WAY WE CAN CURRENTLY CAUSE AN EMP THAT BIG IS WITH A NUKE. SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  • Since some of you are still lacking the knowledge of nuclear weapons and what they produce, ask yourself this. Why would a Russian Nuclear Submarine in wetdock have a ICBM (That's a long range missile) solely for the purpose of disabling electronics, rather than an explosion (the nuke) that disables electronics, and vaporizes everything in an area.

  • @GRSynopsys Futhermore, EMPs are not visible to the naked eye, so eat a dick.

  • Even if it's an EMP, EMP's don't make shit explode. They can completely destroy circuit boards and fuse some connections, sure, but they won't explode a space station. And shock-waves cannot physically travel through space. It's a vacuum.

  • fucking emp

  • Not a nuke, it's an EMP.

  • it is a nuke, nukes do the same thing as emp, this definately is a nuke, but omg so stupid, first of all, nukes don't even come close to having that much destructive distance, and the shock wave doens't go that fast and would not blow up the ISS from 1000 miles away.

  • @patriot31311 it is a EMP. They say it is an EMP after the explosion!

  • @patriot31311

Finally, someone with some sense. And there is VERY VERY VERY little atmosphere where the iss is, so it wouldn't even fucking reach there, because it can't travel through a vacuum. PLUS modern military hardware is sheilded against EMPs to prevent circuits from being fried.

  • How does the nuke reach that far

  • @TheLincolnWorld its not a nuke, its an EMP

  • @TheLincolnWorld it doesn't

  • it isnt a nuke its an emp

  • who cares?

  • what the hell happened?!

  • after this scene the black soldier screams its E! M! P! so it must be an EMP

  • @TurkishGamer92 because the nuke sent out an (E)lectro (M)agnetic (P)ulse

  • @TurkishGamer92 Its Cpl. Dunn that says that, sgt. foley just says "keep moving"

  • Nuclear detonations release an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) when they detonate. The EMP fries circutboards and does nothing to humans. The nuclear blast can kill by either the heat, blast or the electromagnetic waves given out (not the same as emp). This was a nuclear missile not an emp missile hence you can see it. This is basically the fear any country has, that their enemies launch a nuclear missile over their country at sufficient enough altitude to disable all electronics.

  • awsome light observation!

  • the fall of france

  • DOES NO ONE REALIZE THAT CERTAIN TYPES OF NUKES CAUSE ELETROMAGNETIC PULSES FROM THE EXPLOSION, GO GOOGLE IT. YOU CANNOT SEE AN EMP, EMP'S DO NOT EXPLODE, THEY ARE INVISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYE.

  • @GRSynopsys you can get EMPs in MW2 so it's safe to assume that it was an EMP...

  • @GRSynopsys so this is not nuke or what

i got a lot of comments about this questions,

    emp or nuke? ?

  • @lipskamafia it IS a nuke, it was launched from a russian nuclear submarine. When nukes DO go off, the release a large emp wave that disables electronics in a very large area.

  • @lipskamafia its an emp

this is a vidieo game not real life

  • @lipskamafia its a nuclear device(ICBM obviously) wich causes a EMP(eletromagnetic Pulse) From its detonation.

  • @lipskamafia I think what he is trying to say is that its a nuke, because nukes cause EMPs (electro-magentic explosions) as well as total destruction xD

  • @lipskamafia Its a EMP

  • @lipskamafia ok let me explain it was a nuke but it was detonated in the sky knocking out all satalites thus blocking communication

  • @lipskamafia sorry just realized i explianed that wrong....EMP(electomegnetic pulse)(also know as high alttidude nuclear explosion)....if a nuclear warhead explodes in the upper atmossphere, gamma rays discharge electrons in the atmosphere and creates a so call Compton Efeect,,,the accelerated electrons scatter around the Earths megnetic field...then it generates an EMP(electomegnetic pulse) over a large range which is fatal to electronics....PHEW

ps i would like a cookie now

  • @lipskamafia its an emp not a nuke...

  • @lipskamafia both

nukes cause EMP's. what kills the cosmonaut is the shockwave which technically shouldn't exist as he's in space mabye its from the gas at lower atmosphere.. wind if ANY at that altitude would be of discrete particles not a compressed atmosphere.

the EMP would hit them 'instantaneously' or at the same time they see the light as its the same thing.

    TL;DR it's both.

  • @lipskamafia nuke detonated in space "causes" the EMP

  • @lipskamafia its a nuke, the emp comes after when all the choppers and planes fall out the sky

  • @lipskamafia It's a nuke.

    Nukes can create Emp effects.

  • @lipskamafia emp cause all the planes and shit fell

  • @lipskamafia it is a nuke but what he's saying is that some nuclear bombs let out emp.

  • @lipskamafia welll in the game that wasnt a nuke that was an EMP i think

  • @lipskamafia it was a emp. usually emp only destroys and frys the communication and any air support and also if you play after it went off there red dot on there gun wasnt working because it fried every electronic. a nuke would send a very more than 100 mile 150 degree burn. as you can see the soldier on the ground didnt.

  • @lipskamafia BOTH, a NUKE causes a shock wave seen in 2:09 , sorta like a EMP! you cant work a phone if its being pelted with EMP's!

  • @GRSynopsys emps do explode they are bombs that go off either in water or in space and send such a high volt of electricity through everything electric powered so they shut down its just like having to many things in one outlet it makes u lose power

  • @357cameron I don't see your point. Are you trying to say that the explosion in the game is an emp. because it isn't. I know what EMP bombs do, you don't see one explode though. It's just a chemical reaction in a container if I remember correctly. It was on daily planet or future weapons.

  • @GRSynopsys no im noot trying to say that they dont explode in the game and im not trying to be disrespectful but i guess u dont remember correctly cuz they do explode either in water or in space

  • @357cameron Haha, okay, sorry mate. I'm just annoyed by everyone else calling the nuclear missile in the video an EMP, and not a nuke.

  • @GRSynopsys EMP thats why everything started falling from the sky a nuke doesnt do that.

  • @GRSynopsys You noob in game that is a EMP but In real life You can see a EMP its not an Explosion Its a big shoke wave thats sends Electro particals that travel 10 miles per second and disables all electrical devices

  • @GRSynopsys caps lock fail

  • @GRSynopsys do you not realize that if that was a nuke that went off that close to them they would all vaporize?

  • @hoplite246 do you realize that nuke was no where near them when it went off?

  • Thats An EMP you daft TWAT lol

  • i thought a nuke in space is a small explosion

  • @bfarve4nyj it is a nuke but it explodes in space to shut down electricity in that area to give them the advantage

  • this is not a nuke its an emp everyone thinks its a nuke but its not

  • Is that brown stuff after the blast radiation? Cause it went out 750 miles or more

  • @Xyinc it could be an Aurora caused by the energy output of the blast

  • what is that? E M P!

  • FAIL! ITS AN EMP

  • @msah697

After the explosion it relases an emp.

  • @chadi357753 but its not nuke because later on in to the story its an emp right after when they fall captain Dunn says EMP!!

  • if captain mcpaki and pricey didn't launch that bloody nuke....what do you think would have happened?o.0

  • Nuke or EMP, it depends where the Nuke hits and how it is used.

An EMP would wipe out electric for a while but if a Nuke is fired into a highly populated area (New York) it would explode (obv) and kill but also the radiation from the nuke would make parts of New York uninhabitable.

    so yeh.

  • thats a EMP

  • lol, language: french

  • for everybody saying this shit it was supposed to be a nuke launched at Washington however Captain Price detonated it before it reached it creating an EMP basically an EMP is a nuke but without the shockwave and concussions so basically you could say its both and for people refusing it was an EMP watch the lights go out

  • NUKES. IN. SPAAAAAAAAAAACE.

  • it's an EMP not a nuke xD

  • @knightarnaud If it it ain't nuke, why was the station destroyed?

  • If this was a nuke, you could of seen the mushroom cloud, but you couldn't see it thus making it not a nuke.

    DROP DA BOMB!

  • err...its acctualy an emp

  • @katsioylas err... its actually a nuke that detanated in space creating an emp...

  • I also forgot to mention that the initial blast from a nuke is 3 times hotter than the surface of the sun.

  • Can anybody here spell correctly?

Nukes are more powerful than EMP because the initial blast can take out a 3 mile radius of ground zero and the fallout can travel much faster, the EMP blasts aren't "deadlyer" because they only affect components that run on an eletrical source.

EMP is dangerous because there are life support systems that will cease functioning, but the nukes are deadlier because they will just straight out kill you, or at least, give you severe radiation sickness.

  • Just to set everything straight, an EMP is caused by a nuclear weapon. Knowing this, you should also know that you can launch a nuclear bomb outside of the Earth's atmosphere for a greater affect. Price wanted to stop the Russians from killing all of his troups. Knowing his troups were outnumbered with vehicles and OpFor, he needed to do something to save his troups, so he did the logical thing by launching a Nuke into space rather than killing his troups. An EMP in space can blackout a continen

  • if we were to get nailed by an electric magnetic pulse bomb in real life....we would definiately be screwed
