As I was saying, it's always white middle age to older men. I've started to think that they might just be jealous knowing that they could never be with any of those females entering. (Or at least the real lesbians. Plenty of straight and bi females go to pride.) And most of those females love the gay men there. Plus, a gay man would be more likely to see more females nude than those men could ever dream of seeing. Just saying because I love gay guys as friends.
Is it just me or has anyone else ever noticed the type of people that protest each year. Every pride I've been to I've seen these people out there. My first pride I actually watched as one of the protesters were jumped and beaten in the middle of the street. Of course, the police broke up the fight.
Too bad you didn't videotape the members of my church, who were there supporting the GLBT community against these folks. We were the only church who did. One of them called my female pastor--who is straight--a "Faggot Preacher." Our signs said "God Loves EVERYONE" etc. This is the first year we did this and we will come back next year and do the same. It's that important.
We will be back this year, at the 14th street Piedmont Park Entrance, and we have other churches joining us this year. Stop by and say hello. God loves US ALL!
I saw one better on my way from Marta on Saturday that said "Homo Sex Is A Threat To National Security.." That is still flying way over my head. Like us having sex could kill the 189 dead or missing from the pentagon or the 64 that were on the plane that crashed into the pentagon on a day where our National Security was 0.. We have gotten killed by doing what we are doing but we haven't killed massive amounts of people.
If there could be one good thing about the protesters, it is that they got just as wet as the rest of us did during the parade on Sunday. Only difference, WE probably had more fun than they did.

I've just recently come out and this was my first Pride event. I was so digusted, angered, and hurt over these people.
I can't believe a "christian" would hold a sign saying that anyone is worthy of death and that heaven is "free of fags."
