after watching ur video I did mine for the first time and boy was them screws hard to come off. but it saved me alot of money though now i have to get them retaining clips for my rotors.,
Thanx for this vid it helped me do brakes and rotors on my 07 Charger. On my 07 there were no restricting pins. The socket for the calibers was a 5/8 and for the bracket I needed a 3/4. Couldve saved a lot of time if you had mentioned the socket sizes. Also I am in the mind to put my emergency brake on when I lift my car up. But the rotor will not come off with the emergency brake on. but overall your video saved me a out of money. so right on.
How many times have you had to put brakes on this since you posted the video? Also, what are you doing about them being noisy? I have videos posted from a test I did on a Crown Victoria. The pads I sell will be quieter, stop quicker, and last longer than any other pad on the market!
I got em off, I didn't turn da wheel to level da rotor for me to get a good bang at it, dat was da problem. Thanx homey, u got everybody askn can I do they breaks n rotors now Lol!
Good Shit Big C's and Big Mike! But one thing...I'm doin da front and can't get da damn rotors off! How can I get em off? Everybody says bang em off but it gotta be a method to it cuz I know I'm a fuck sumptn up if I keep hitn it as hard as I am!
@29jcorn, you have to take off the bracket that holds the caliper in place, then after you that, there are retainer tabs holding the rotor to the hub, after u take the tabs off, spin the rotor and hit them with a mallet or hammer while it is spinning,,,, also spray some wd40 to loosing it up, it comes off the same way as the back rotor
@29jcorn sorry a little late. But yes there is a trick to getting the front and back rotors off, if they've been on awhile and heated up a few times they will seem to be on there like a son of a bitch! Trick is give it two taps in the back and a couple in the front and the mother fucker should pop right off. I had the same problem i was beating and beating on my rotor got frustrated said fuck it. Talked to a couple people and one of my friends told me the trick. Sure shit one hit and boom!
real talk, good job on makin this video. i got a magnum, same brakes. i did the front with no problem, but the rear rotors didnt wanna come off. just searched the internet to see if there was any special method to getting rotors that have E-brakes mounted in the hat of the rotors. now i guess i gotta just go into beast mode on them b*tches.
dealer ship keped hustling me about changing the rotors i looked around and even mechanics out side or auto zone told me its a hard job 175 for the job .. i bought the tools 20$ and the rotors and did the job my self .. internet rocks!
Yeah, You must work for a dealership, ,, Because I Have a 95 mustang that I got brand new 15 years ago, and I still have the original parts on it. Including the brake lines, and they're just fine.
i have a 95 mustang also ,, i just had to replace the brake lines because one ruptured and i had to skip off the curb all the way to work one morning,, was scarey as hell .. Although ,, i do not believe the flush would have prevented the elements from rusting out the lines anyway.... that it funny .. that someone would suggest that they could actually rust through from the inside out.... lol the brake fluid would not allow that to happen .... they rust from the outside ... lol
I guess a 06 brake job should be the same as an 09?

I didn't see the step, but how do you compress the caliper piston to get the pads in?
huntergluck 4 months ago
@huntergluck Just use a C-CLAMP with the old pad to compress the piston

The brake fluid absorbs moisture over time and will rust your brake lines from the inside out. So it is a service worth mutherfu*ken doing.
