  • mine has the red markings inside its mouth : ] I love him, I call him neptune

  • xD pěkná taky budu takovou mít akorát že v červená

    barvě

  • i always wished that i could press the venus fly trap with insect in it

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOON!! C'était peut être ma grand mère réincarnée en mouche!

  • lol, that fly made absolutely no attempt to escape at all. wtf!

  • Your VFT looks healthy, how did it get red colourings in the mouth?

  • no, hamburger meat no puede eat, because su trampa is very small and the meat se pudriria, and behind the musgo is not

  • Can they eat hamburger meat? I had a guy at homedepot tell me they can be fed raw hamburger meat if flies or other arachnids, insects are not present.

Also how often do they need to eat to stay healthy?

I bought one of these a month ago and have been hunting my home for spiders to feed it, it is growing at a very fast rate but I am running out of bugs/arachnids to feed it.

  • sooo amazing! how is it possible? its a plant! =O

  • evolution by natural selection

  • Actually a horses and donkey creating offspring (a mule) would be a better example.

  • A Labrador Dog and a Golden Retriever are a different species, yet they can still reproduce a new organism. You are talking out of your arse sir.

  • just wtf is and arse

  • No, with all due respect you don't know what the difference between a race and a species is, otherwise you would know that plants do not have races.

  • No, race is sub-species to a very narrow definition of genetics. You are mistaken.

  • Vfts dont have species and the bullshit about races is stupid. Its different varieties.

  • Moron. That is all.

  • ME moron? There arent different species.

  • "The scientific study of plants, known as botany, has identified about 350,000 extant species of plants" - Wikipedia.

The term Variety is used a semantic differential for sub-species.

So yes, Moronic post. Moronic Poster.

  • That is talking about plants in general. In the book

"The Saage Garden" is where I got my info. No reason to call somone a moron just because they misunderstood somthing, which I still am confident that I am correct.

  • "Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge" - Charles Darwin. Goodbye.

  • Then you should explain what you are trying to say. Rather than quoting stupid stuff.

  • Oh okay, you are a moron. Enough said.

  • You like the killers? Thats my moms fav band.

  • Yeah I know, we sing them whilst we make love.

  • Dude, why are you such a douche?

  • I don't know. Want to hug it out?

  • @Killerspider762 holy shit! have you realized that like half of the comments on this vid is about labroadors?

  • dude. a golden retriever and labrodor are different species. they are two different animals that were forcefully bred together by humans. not two dogs *naturally* between each other, mostly because dogs are man-made and non-native to this planet

  • Incorrect; if the groups can interbreed and produce fertile offspring of both sexes, they are of the same species, despite how different their morphologies might be.

  • Species, not race.

  • How come some Venus Flytraps R Huge and some are small? Mines small

  • i want one every so often in the summer they carry them at the local Kroger, but i haven't been able to find any when i actually want one...any suggestions? Can you buy them more mature than just , one or two traps??? Or do you have to get them small?

  • I bought mine at a local flower shop bu the problem is that i live in cascais, portugal

  • i have one of my one and it's really amazing the way she catches the bugs

  • wow these plants keep amazing me... you know how hard and snappy you need to be to squash a fly but in this case the fly didnt even realize it just stood there! :o

  • How many years has this plant? I have one of 2 years and she is very small. why will be?

  • Dionaea Muscipula are famous for growing VERY slow. A mature one might take 3-4 years. You know it's mature when it starts growing a flower in spring time. If by then it's still small, natural selection.

  • Thanks!!!

  • that plant vearly got nutrient that fly was way to small fot it...

  • Bonappetit!

  • i want one of these. where do you people buy them i dont think any of these local flower shops have any of these

  • If the local flower shops/hardware stores don't have any, just order off the internet.

  • i bot one from a big plants shop you could buy it in big shops not at a local shop

  • I just bought one today... lol any treatment or care advice?? anyone??

  • OWNED XD

  • bitch crawls into my mouth....

  • it deserved it lol

  • Now THAT Is One Healthy, Happy Plant!

Ya Got'a Be Doing Something Right

  • How long have you guys had this VFT? It looks healthy.

  • One year plus.

  • When a fly comes in my room (I have a Dionaea, too), then it doesn't fly to the traps :(

  • pwned.

  • ...i might get one today and im trying to get as much info as i can on them

  • how long do you film to see them naturally close their traps?

  • Not long. I saw a fly stuck on my sundew`s leaf. It`s still alive. Then, I took it and put it into my VFT`s mouth.

  • Great looking VFT! Must be really healthy!

  • nice!
