  • Also, this guy is really good at the saxophone.......

  • I love the solitude of sound in this, it makes me reflect on the pointlessness of our modern existence and how commercialism dominates music

    ....

    LOL JKS This is rubbish!!

  • How about creating some fucking music

  • @animalmother4 how about suck a big dick

  • @crisisred because I'm not gay you fat hipster

  • Music Concrete at its finest!

  • wolf eyes = yanni. i'm so glad kim and thurston broke up. now's yer chance to stick it in kim's 58 year old vagina.

  • Classic Wolf Eyes.

  • drugs

  • i would of been tapping my foot and bobbing my head yelling shit like

FUCK YEAH WHOOOO LETS BREAK SHIT

  • Comment removed

  • pretentious bullshit

  • incredible, actually.

  • very nice saxploitation.

  • This is about "Noise" not Music. If you're into Sound Design for Film or Videogames or as an Art Form in itself, then check this band out. Noise is intended to induce stress/anxiety/aggression. Music doesn't do that as good as noise does.

If you want music then go listen to music, it's what I do, duHH!!!! For the guy who referenced Deadmau5 as a comparison,....I'm a homo, and even Deadmau5 is too gay for me. .....Ha, I outed you. :P

  • Comment removed

  • this is fucking garbage. listen to some deadmau5 if you want to hear some reeeeaaal dirty music man. this is some pussy shit. no beat. no rhythm. no wobble. no womp womp womp. fucking christ. only complete pussy faggots would listen to this garbage.

  • @LSDpeasantry yo look at the dude that didnt get ur joke it s pretty funny

  • @LSDpeasantry the only thing thats garbage is "womp womp womp"

shit is so fucking tired and lame it needs a walking stick

  • @LSDpeasantry so if it has no beat it's nothing...? "this is some pussy shit" "fucking christ. only complete pussy faggots "

what are you in 8th grade?you sound like a moron

  • This is way better than most of their stuff in my opinion.

  • @norman200192 a kid who messes with paint is a great artist

  • i appreciate all genres of music, but this ridiculous. no talent needed to make this. like a kid who messes with paint pretending to be a great artist

  • @norman200192 Ok ass fucker you go out and do 10 times better than them.

  • @Hentaifreak50 scratching blackboards and drilling sounds better than this

  • @norman200192 no it don't

  • @Hentaifreak50 what's 10 times better than crap? i think banging 2 pot lids would sound better than this. i may just post a video of that

  • @norman200192 do it and i'll honestly tell you what i think :)

  • @norman200192 watch cock esp. Theyre so much better dude.

  • @norman200192 you gotta be trippin balls to be able to appreciate this ;)

  • There was another Wolf Eyes video from this session, do you have it?

  • If you listen to this in your free time, you are a pretentious asshole and you suck at life.

  • @DirdeeD funny but everybody has there own taste

  • just close your eyes and imagine the aftermath of the bloodiest battle ever, and the remains of the dead stacked in a pile. the dark sky is red and no sun is visible

  • "I'm in a band." "Oh really! What do you play?" "I play the Metal plate."

  • Reminds me of Speeq.

  • I like this. It's like Speeq, except Speeq is crazier. Phil Minton.

  • I like this. Reminds me of a arguably more radical example of this same style: Speeq.

  • I hate to tell you guys, but every single sonic manifestation can be placed on some sort of musical scale, which means that everything, from your dishwasher to radio static, is music. Even if it's far removed from the scales you think of.

  • @bpkvids That's not true. Check the physical definition of the two terms: sound and noise. You'll see what I mean.

  • @bpkvids Also, almost every sound has a rhythmic identity, which further reinforces that idea.

  • I hate music......that is why I love this band!

  • when do the words start?

  • @theperpetualkid Really? Because I make this kind of music completely by accident when I trip in my garage and knock over a tool shelf. Record that and add some delay; pow! Wolf Eyes.

  • @851852093114208513 You actually can't duplicate this by accident. The only way you can say that is if you only heard the first 15 seconds of this.

  • @vaguelyhumanoid I'm not saying I could duplicate it. It's very hard to duplicate a random series of noises six minutes long on purpose. The point is that I could break shit for 5 minutes, and it would be this genre of "music".

  • wtf is this?

  • Wolf eyes=creamy pants. If you like Power Electronics with an Ambient twist, check out my channel.

  • IF IT'S SO GARBAGE, GET THE FUCK OUT

  • This one always gets the crowd moving.

  • If I listen to this band, am i more indie? or just silly because the songs shit?

  • I'm all for experimental music, and don't get me wrong, because this isn't bad. Personally, I just don't 'get' this band. I guess I like my experimental a little more, aggressive? For example, Black Pus. Before I get bombed about calling either of these songs 'experimental', don't bother, because I don't care.

  • @MarchofClouds Oh, I really like your comment

  • @MarchofClouds I like to group things in a way that makes sense. For instance, there is experimental music, like, say, Mr. Bungle or Meshuggah, and then there is people who like taking the definition of music in it's most basic form and just seeing what happens. Frankly, I hate that I have to acknowledge this as music, but as a combination of sound and silence it is. I prefer my music to be a little more "musical" in the common sense.

  • @851852093114208513 Music is an entirely subjective medium. What one defines as music, might be defined as anal cancer by another. I still maintain this is experimental due to the fact that they are experimenting with what music is, and the tools used to create it. I don't really dig it, but I can respect what they are doing, and I can respect other people's opinion. If people like a band then that is their call; it's not my place to say that they a wrong.

  • so... this is like, a hipster thing, then..? i honestly can't imagine listening to this the same way one could listen to actual music.

  • These guys should make a collaboration with Amon Tobin if they haven't already

    :D

  • fucking amazing! amazing process. stunning results.

  • this is shit.

  • People who complain about these guys a lot are always really into 4chan or Pitchfork.

  • Thurston wants to talk about Star Wars!

  • Everyone hating on Wolf Eyes needs to seriously shut the fuck up. Music is totally subjective and what bands like Wolf Eyes and Black Dice do is make strange (and at times) uncomfortable soundscapes to create an intense emotional feel from the listener. Now I see how you can argue that Pitchfork kids just listen to this because it makes them feel unique, but there are those of us out there who actually can appreciate the layered noise music thats out there..

  • @zevi14 You're a freak, bro

  • @jblanx101

    Your a freak...bro.

  • how dissapointed would you be if you went to a gig and then this happened? great for soundtracks. shit for music

  • Eh... There's a lot better ambient noise out there.

  • not impressed

  • these dudes played at a gallery in detroit the other summer... everyone was all "ok, whatever...".. then Lightning Bolt started playing out of fucking NOWHERE, and suddenly we all were happy we paid 5$.

  • gimme some acid and I can do the same shit for you...

  • @AtWarWithGod >Implying he's ever done acid

    >lying

  • @0420sa29

Imply deez nuts in your mouth because this is straight garbage.

  • @AtWarWithGod You don't deny your lies though, and you seem to be a child, mentally at least. Perhaps you should reconsider your position before you condemn music you don't like as "garbage".

  • @0420sa29

Only to a child would the thought of his words actually inflicting damage unto myself have. Keep smoking your pot, and contributing nothing in life. Seems to be doing wonders for you. And as for this conversation, consider it kaput.

  • @AtWarWithGod Point taken, but what do you suggest I should be doing more than I am to "contribute to life"? and what is it you're contributing that's so important? Nevermind, conversation kaput and all that.

  • @AtWarWithGod What you said was "consider it kaput."

What I read was "I am a gigantic faggot please rape my face"

  • @0420sa29

Again, as I said clearly you must have the child mentality in which you speak of.

  • @AtWarWithGod Okay th- wait, what?

  • @0420sa29

    I rest my case.

  • These dudes played the Showbox the other day. Garbage. They need a good heckling.

  • It just does not really appeal to me at all. I like a lot of avant-garde shit but this just seems like it tries too fucking hard.

  • wank

  • Wolf Eyes are just about the only "noise" (!) combo worth a shit these days...

  • brilliant stuff, wolf eyes rule

  • for my money, Wolf Eyes have really mastered harsh noise. too many harsh noise acts just get out there and bombard you by going as loud as they can for the set, these guys get loud and all, but they really play with bringing it up and down and create depth that makes their stuff interesting rather than just loud.

  • cool reminds me of Jimmy Page live on stage intro to no Quarter

  • try listening to nurse with wound or throbbing gristle

  • this is indivualism gone fucked. cool you guys who listen to this are so alternative. i get it.

i feel like these guys would be a cameo character in how i met your mother.

  • Travis Bickle on saxophone. "One of these days I'm gonna get organezized".

  • For al you guys liking this, try Faust (1969 till now...) Thé originals...

  • im doing a course on experimental music. this is the sorta stuff we have to do... :/

  • @Maharoba: if anybody can do this, post a video of you doing it. Actually, post a video of you starting a genre of music. If you know anything about underground, you'll know exactly what Nate Young and John Olson have achieved, along with Aaron Dilloway. You might want to start a couple of extremely influential record lables while you're at it, too.

  • This is so fuckin dumb

  • @SimonMenard1 Live and let live...they're onstage and you're not...

  • is this music?

  • sounds mad crazy, hella dig it.

  • there is a difference between noise music and just noise... this, just noise!

  • i dig these guys a lot .....to me its pure art! some people just dont get it and it must suck to be you! good day!

  • This is such a joke, like something from Tim and Eric

  • Ohhh man

this like.. cuts the very essence of my soul

it transends me to another place

I just loose myself in the music

    the feelings. the passion.

  • You hear a real band play and they screw up, you know it. If these guts are hung over and fuck up and fuck around for the whole song, how can you tell? I can gather 4 guys in a room, tell em to fuck with an amp and random instrument, and this is what I get.

    It's fucking bullocks!!!!!

  • @nobebeselagua

You listen to Gorillaz. You lost credibility.

Just fucking, I'm not wearing my beret so I can't hipster crucify you. But don't hate on it so harshly, it's basically just dark ambient music. It's not genius like some are saying, but if I was stuck in some shitty rest stop out on a road through the hills, this is probably what it sounds like.

So I guess they got what they were going for...the saxophone would worry me in that situation though.

  • @mrfudgeyhead yea, gorillaz arent musical or artistic at all. they dont rub microphones on pretentiously mishapen pieces of metal like its going to create a beautiful sound. what was i thinking.

  • @mrfudgeyhead theres nothing wrong with listening to Gorillaz

  • I found it while watching bob log iii videos. Bob log is amazing... This isn't music. It's like going to a grocery store, grabbing a thousand random food items, puree'ing them, and calling it a gourmet meal. It's not, it is in fact, the same as thus "song"... Pure shite. If you argue with me you're a twat.

  • These guys are one of the best acts in America, and if you can't grasp that, I feel sorry for you.

  • Comment removed

  • I bet you all the goth and scene kids listen to this are thinking "fuck yeah im hardcore. no one understands me, but ill be sure to get attention if i listen to this"

    its noise. not music.

  • @FirefoxMancer Noise is an acknowledge genre of music. Try again.

  • This is absolutely entrancing to watch.

  • how the fuck did all the the morons hating in the comments section even find this fucking video? I know how I found it... I like the band.

  • Comment removed

  • could these fuckups not afford instruments? get a job and learn a chord, chrrrrrist

  • @anothergunner Connelly has several excellent guitars, and is a hell of a player. Thurston Moore, unarguably one of the greatest guitarists of all time, endorses them wholesale, and has toured with them.

They know all the rules and, as such, break them, and I respect the hell out of them for it. They played this when I went to see them last month, although this is certainly more an acoustic version than the one I saw, or the album version. It still kicks ass, but I prefer the version I saw.

  • my ballsack is more groundbreaking than this

  • Unlike most music these days, which is only copies of ancient inventions, this is true groundbreaking and trend-shattering ART.

  • im waiting for tim and eric to jump out

  • these guys make burzum look like a pussy

  • @wherestheunity

    FUCK YES.

  • @wherestheunity wasn't expecting that name drop in the comment section- thumbs up lol

  • Just saw them live with a friend who DOES NOT LIKE NOISE. One of the most important things about Noise (directing this at the skeptics) Is being present for the live performance. It's something damn near everyone can appreciate. My friend truly loved it.

  • the vocalist made me bust out laughing.

this was way too much for me. there's no artistic value here.. anyone could do this.

  • @Maharoba

anyone can play guitar drums and bass too

  • @deengew

    Yeah, but not WELL.

  • @Maharoba

I wish I had seen your stupid pedobear display pic before I replied. I'm sorry, now I realize your just a /b/tard with aspergers that thinks everyone should care about their silly opinion. Good luck with that.

  • @deengew

    You're*

Good luck passing grade school dumbfuck.

  • @deengew

also, if you're so fond of my profile picture, please, take a second look.

  • @Maharoba

Oh no you pwned me :(

  • @Maharoba well do it

  • pretty sick:)

  • It's called experimentation followed by creativity. I guess for some that concept does not register. There's more to life than commercial music.

  • dont WATCH.... LISTEN... jesus...

  • the most important thing about art is that it wants to make you react to it, you know? i think i kinda like this. it says something. or maybe it doesn't. who cares? i certainly don't

  • Amazing. I think a poem is writing itself in my head.

  • after a minute or two it grows on you .....anyone alse getting that cold feeling in there back

  • this is beautiful, not many people find this at all appealing

especially the fact im only 16 years old...

  • @HippieHappyTV Why would anyone care how old you are?

  • This is what you get when you listen to wolfEyes.

Noise not music. Deal with it.

Truely amazing stuff that my ears can easily digest to while drawing/painting.

  • What's up with all the normal people surrounding this video?

If you can't understand it, don't diss it because you will look like an idiot.

Also, I see this more like penformance art than music, and as music it's fine.

An ambient, dark thing. Very horror movie-ish.

    Don't be a pussy.

  • im not feeling this.

  • You know it was really cool until the guy pulled out the saxophone :\

Other than that bit it was atmospheric and I can sort of see what these guys are trying to convey artistically (if you get what I'm saying lol). It kind of sounds like the sound effects that would fit in a dungeon in a video game or movie really well. But that's what comes to my mind, others will interpret it differently.

  • HAHAHA this is almost worse then sun o)))

  • i hate everything about this band..

    with a burning passion.

  • this band is fucking amazing. if you dont like it then go back to your predicable, overdone bullshit. im stoked to know that theres people out there who still want to progress music forward.

  • >predictable

    >overdone

uh.. I beg to differ. Anyone can hate on electronic music, that's normal, but a properly composed breakcore or dubstep song is surprise after surprise unless it's the third time you're listening to the song.

  • @thedevo01 why does it have to be a "properly composed breakcore or dubstep" song? why cant it be just three guys wanting to make art in the form of music?

people like you need to stop classifying shit and let everything be its own individual masterpiece

  • @dethymn

I brought up breakcore and dubstep just as examples of the least predictive electronic music genres.

Classifying art is necessary because if you find a style you like, you can search for similar other bands and/or graphic artists. That is why labeling classes is necessary. Labeling people is another thing.

Are you implying that dubstep forbids people to be "wanting to make art in the form of music"?

  • and in response to the final part of this comment, i dont believe that dubstep is very artsy or creative at all, anyone can make dubstep, its a very simplistic form of music.

  • @mikeyheartskateboard

I doubt you even know anything about Dubstep.

Looking at your username, I think it'd be pointless to start an argument with someone as immature as you, but if you think Dubstep is so primitive, why don't you give it a try?

If you want to know why Dubstep is way harder to produce than almost any other electronic music, I can explain it to you, but again, I have doubts about your abilities of understanding.

  • okay okay, this account was made years ago, so you can fuck off when it comes to that part of the comment you ignorant bastard. and second of all, you obviously know nothing of dubstep. it may be a very layered form of music, but still takes almost no thought to create a dubstep tune.

  • and also, dont try to tell me that i know nothing of the sort, ive been listening to dubstep for well over 2 years, and if youve been listening to it for anywhere near as long, youd understand that it is fucking repetitive as hell. and if you want to know what REAL creative music sounds like, watch the concert footage i have on my profile.

  • @mikeyheartskateboard

I don't *need* to watch your videos to know what creativity means.

Seriously kid, what the hell are you talking about? My instrumental dubstep band uses real drum kits, multiple analog oscillators, about 3 MIDI keyboards and 1 sampler, and we perform on shows LIVE. Our music is built up of self generated sounds and some effects are sounds we recorded on the streets or nature.

If that ain't creative, I really don't know what is.

  • listen man, im not trying to tell you that dubstep is not cool, because the particular sound it uses is awesome, i love it. but, it is very repetitive, and i would easily tell excision and that other artist you mentioned that their music is the same, and they would gladly agree with me. anyway, im done arguing, its not getting either of us anywhere. have a good life my friend.

  • oh, and one more thing: the songs that i write as JOKES on my profile as prank calls are more creative and take more thought than a dubstep song.

  • @thedevo01 WTF is dubstep? Is that what this is called? Good, now I know what genre of "Music" (Used VERY liberally) to avoid for the rest of my not-high-enough-to-not-be-annoyed-by-this-genre's-existence life. Don't compare electronic music in their difficulty to produce, because the computers do all the work. It's not hard to install a video game when the computer does it itself, and it's not hard to make music when you just use a computer to arrange noise.

  • @851852093114208513 You do know there is this thing called SAMPLING, right?

Wow, you've proven yourself to be the year's most ignorant fucktard. Congratulations!

  • @thedevo01 Yeah, Sampling, the process of pushing buttons to make sounds that you COULD make yourself, with, say, an instrument, but you use a computer program to arrange them for you. Congratulations on completely underestimating the intelligence of somebody you've never met.

  • @851852093114208513 What the hell are you talking about? Do you know how hard it is to make a specific style of Hip-Hop out of an old Jazz or '70s funk song?

    Midi Samplers are instruments too.

Plus, if I record myself playing all the notes on my guitar THEN resampling it and using those samples in my songs, thus SAMPLING, then I can even make a better, more interesting sound with digital filters.

So what is your fucking point here?

  • @thedevo01 Yes, that's what sampling is? You still avoid playing the notes in real time by letting a computer do it for you since you lack the skill?

  • @851852093114208513 If I resample my guitar's notes to add awesome digital effects, how the fuck does that make me talentless? Why the fuck would me making a sample library of my guitar and USING IT make me a less talented musician?

You seriously lack common sense, plus you have no fucking idea about how the actual production of digital music goes.

  • @851852093114208513 You don't sample because you lack the skill you moron, you sample because there are some things that can't be done if you don't.

  • @851852093114208513 So... you've made outstanding electronic music before? Also, Wolf Eyes, Very rare backing tracks aside (run through amps and FX that they control real-time in a fully orchestrated manner), doesn't use computers to make their music. Almost everything is done real-time, and EVERYTHING I've heard by them has been recorded analog.

  • @blakeanon Yes, but it is still not really music. If you want to listen to a trash can lid falling on a driveway for an hour, then (although you're a little fucked up in the head) the power to you. But rubbing a microphone piece of rippled steel isn't really art. It's very modern in the way that it's considered art even though it isn't at all. You ever see a modern sculpture? It's pieces of scrap metal randomly welded together. Modern art is a single splatter of paint on a canvas. It's nothing.

  • @851852093114208513 You are deaf...figure it out...

  • @Infectant I would ask to explain, but you probably don't know how that links to the prior argument anyway. Besides, if I were to actually go deaf, it would probably be because idiots like you were playing this "music" very loudly, as one could go deaf at the hands of some very loud NOISE.

  • @851852093114208513 Amusing little man

  • @mikeyheartskateboard Totally agree. I think its creative accessibility is part of its fun, though.

  • im not too familiar with breakcore, but let me tell you: all dupstep is exactly the same. dont get me wrong, im a big fan of dubstep, its awesome, but its repetitive as hell. every song is a build up, and then a grimey bass drop, and nothing more.

  • @mikeyheartskateboard

Does your definition of Dubstep suit BURIAL? No.

Does your definition of Dubstep suit MY Dubstep band? Fuck no.

Syncopation is the key here, not grimey bass; You just proved that you're nothing but a stupid whore of a consumer.

  • >all dubstep is exactly the same

Go ahead and tell Burial and Excision that they are exactly the same! I want to see you do it.

  • your such a faggot

  • @JGill93

    lol u mad :3

  • possibly the worst band ever...

  • When they start to play ?

  • @domek121 this is them playing.

  • every garage band can do noise better than these guys with professional crap tools

  • musica tonta

  • what a load of arty wanky shit!
