this song was actually written about her relationship with owen wilson. which makes sense cause she seems to be pretty delicate about dumping his softy ass if you read the lyrics...and we read he news how he seems to attempt suicide whenever a pretty blonde breaks up with him (kate hudson)...it also appeared on the movie credits for "KPAX lol...then it became the epic 9/11 song when she performed it live on mtv

For me personally this song has been special to me and others Blackkendoll82 is because it isn't out right about "Romantic love", but about love in general and friendship and loyality and being there for someone even though horrible things are going on.

More of us can relate to and strive for loyal friendship. I'd rather have that than romantic love.

Plus the song is a bit ambiguous so you can decide for yourself what it's about.

She performed it on MTV show after the 9/11, and she sang it after being introduced by former major Rudy Giulianni. At the moment she was playing at the piano, a projection of images of the World Trade Center tragedy was rotating.

That was the first moment I heard this song, and I still remember it like if it was today.
