  • Are Both Parties Guilty Of The Cover-up?

Is getting elected or staying elected is all that matters anymore?. Republicans sit on it because of bad press. Democrat's save it, and use it for maximum political impact.

  • republicans are the dark side.

  • I´m not surprised. Pervertion is proportional to the conservative degree of a person. Each very conservative person wishes to hide some secret that fears to reveal to other people. Mainly sexual problems... For them the "sin" is inside other people, since they cannot stand to live with their own "demons",accept their problem and sincerelly try to solve them ...

  • Republicans knew 'something' about this pedophile and did NOTHING but try to hide it.

  • GOP = Gay Old Pedophiles

  • Republican can not be trusted

  • Republicans have been doing this for years. In 1994, Republicans in congress had this politically damaging documentary prevented from being aired on national television. To view this shocking documentary, Go to Google Video, and type in "Conspiracy of Silence", or type it in at YouTube (the screen is larger at Google video). Americans need to see this.

  • If a 54 year old man sent your child an "innocuous email" that spoke suggestively about how great a shape your kid was in and then asked for a photo of him wouldn't that raise some MAJOR alarms? You can't use the excuse that the emails were harmless. They were not. With a bit of digging they'd have learned everything and they purposefully hid information from the only democrat on the Page Board that oversaw such matters. Don't make this political and blame democrats. This is CRIMINAL!!!

  • Idiots! The GOP did NOT know about the explicit IMs. They only knew about a pair of innocuous emails! The emails were NOT explicit. They were submitted to the Justice Department!

The idiot Democrat leaders are going to over play this hand and wind up losing even more seats!

  • shut up child molester

  • Typical personal attack from someone that hasn't the intellect to form an independent opinion.

  • Typical personal attack from someone that hasn't the intellect to form an independent opinion.

    L O S E R!!! FUCKING MORON, GET A FUCKING LIFE AND DO THE WORLD A FAVOR...SHOOT YOURSELF...L O S E R

  • Thank you for proving my point. Check with your doctor concerning your medication schedule.

  • EpicMale, you're a pedophile supporter. I don't know which is worse, a pedophile, or a pedophile supporter. This is also a critical issue: Republicans have bombarded the American people since Monica Lewinsky with propaganda of "we're the party of morals, the party of principals, the party of God and faith, the party of traditional values, and bla bla bla." Perhaps they should have included "the Grand old Party of Hypocrisy."

  • Nowhere did I express any support for pedophiles. Sometimes they are hard to detect. The Justice Department did not have enough evidence even for a search warrant, much less a prosecution....until the IMs were exposed a year later.

  • Show me exactly where I showed the slightest bit of support for a pedophile, Dan. I merely pointed out that the Dims are harping on year old EMAILS that contained no sexually graphic material. Foley exposed his true character in Instant Messages, which the GOP didn't see until about the same time we did. Brian Ross, the liberal reporter, failed to report those IMs to law enforcement. He is far more guilty than any GOP member.

  • Point of order - This was not innocuous. A grown man does not send this type of email to a 16 year old child. No excuses. This was a major blunder by men who are trying to claim some moral high ground. Dumber than Hell. Nothing less.

  • You apparently do not know the difference between the two innocuous emails (no sexual content at all!), and the sexually explicit Instant Messages!

Interesting development yesterday: Some top Democrats knew the CONTENT of the IMs! They said nothing for MONTHS! Now, when queried, they say 'I didn't READ those IMs.' No, they didn't read them, but Brian Ross READ the IMs to them! And the decision was to toss the child to the wolves and save the IMs for just before the election.

  • Actually - I do know the difference. I also know, as a Roman Catholic, that with all of the publicity and scrutiny my church has received over this thing there is no excuse for the way this matter was handled. Dennis Hastert says that anyone involved in a coverup should be fired. I say: anyone who failed to bring this to his attention should be fired.

  • I am a Republican and I am staying home this November! To even justify and blame the other side is absurd! Quit being partisan and have a sense of what is right and wrong! We trashed Clinton for what he did, we surely deserve to rant of the American public for our own party's leadership inaction on the issue!

  • Ken, I don't believe you are a Republican. Only an idiot would eschew his entire party over the actions of ONE member. Vote against the member. There is ZERO evidence that any Republican knew of the Instant Messages, and a lot of evidence that they only knew of 2 slightly strange emails. And the emails were reviewed by the Justice Department....no CRIME...just 'strange'.

  • They knew, the leadership found out ahead of the public. Period.

  • You must be another that doesn't understand the difference between the emails and the sexually explicit IMs. Are there this many computer illiterate people on the Internet?! Sheesh... Brian Ross, the reporter that broke this story NEVER claimed that Republicans were informed of the IMs! Try to comprehend the facts, Carl.

  • Yep it sure looks like the democrats took it in the ass on this one. LOL you ditto head nazi

  • Amazing graciousness in victory, which I interpret as a record setting brevity in control of Congress. The Democrats will begin to tear one another apart...just watch. They always do.

  • to bad this couldn't have broken before the torture bill passed.

  • Good thought but I doubt it would have made a difference.

    Enjoy.

  • I agree with you. Maybe this story broke when it did to specifically take the focus off of the passing of the Torture Bill. We must remember; these guys (Republicans/Rove) are not stupid. They are very strategic at times. I wouldn't be surprised if an event occurred to turn the current poll numbers the other I direction right before the 06 election. FYI, the best magicians are masters of misdirection.

  • Tear it down. Tear it all down.

  • I loves me my HotlineTV.
