  • I don,t care who wrote it nobody sings it better than Waylon!!

  • @ 1:48 its "Praise the Lord and pass the mescaline" Actual lyric.

  • A GREAT Wayon song. Written by Willis Alan Ramsey. A great song-writer. This is a case of a guy passing along a song to someone who did it much better than the write. I love Willis, but Waylon delivers on this in a way Willis coudn't.

  • @heymama1 thank you this happens a lot i guess but some writers just write on the other hand evryone can sing

just a lot of people don't know it ..take care

  • My aunt wrote this song.. got the originals in her poetry trunk..

  • @ILoveNinjaSkillz Is your aunts name Willis Allan Ramsay because that is who wrote this song....

  • @ILoveNinjaSkillz There are two songs called Satin Sheets..one is sung by Jeanne Pruett and I think thats the one your aunt wrote but this version is definitely Willis allan Ramsey..

  • @ILoveNinjaSkillz You might want to get that poetry book out of the trunk............ As others have noted this "Satin Sheets" is "Puro Willis Alan Ramsey".

  • Oh yeah.....Summer nights, screen door open, cool breeze comin' through the screen....Outside the old man sittin' on the front porch with a tall glass of ice cold water or a can of brew...The RCA 8track/record/radio/tv combo stereo blastin' this tune...Me joining him on the porch while the 8 track repeats over and over and over....AHHH, the memories.

  • @Zrock0076 That is a great picture you paint ..thanks for calling in .

  • Never Mind TJ your forgiven.

  • This song was written by Willis Alan Ramsey. If you can find Ramsey's first album (this song is on it)...buy it. It's on CD or maybe at a used record shop. That said, Waylon nails it.

  • Thanks for the information on the song i will look for the original ...TC
