Well sadly I only get to play vs computers so I can't even begin to say I'm even 'good'. I guess new dorf will be faster than he is now since people are just getting the hang of brawl. But still it doesn't seem that he'll catch up to melee dorf in speed.
There's ways to get around a slow dorf. For example, what if you fake a running attack (Left or Right THEN A) just go left/right whatever times when approaching an opponent then hit A to surprise them.

Indeed, he's an excellent character and there shouldn't have been a doubt that he would return. That would be like King Koopa being left out. It's just that you would think that since this one was based on the Twilight version, he would have some of that ones moves instead of it being the same as it was in melee. A clone. A very good, strong, and fun to play clone, but a clone nonetheless.
Yea i expected that he would use his sword from TP noy srely on it completely use his fist as well and stuff but i thought it would make an appearance other than a taunt, and does anyone else think that Toon links FS shud be the hurricane spin? and not a copy of normal Links? This game looks and will be great, but there is ways it could of been easily better...am still gonna LOVE IT!!!! :D
Agreed. I even said in another video that it would be cool if he did a mixture of melee moves and moves with his sword. Ah well, it will still be a lot of fun. And maybe we'll get this fixed in 6 years or so.
I really do wish they gave him his own moveset. I mean, all he did in Twilight was use his sword and you'd think that they would incorporate that in here. He could have a mix of melee and swordplay....darn. Oh well, at least the animations look a little bit different.
haha yeah he does doesnt he...well cant blame the guy from walking a bit stiff with full plate :P yet still! his warlocks uppercut is updated, its now some sort of grab attack, he just grabbed someones faces and lets it explode with darkness XD its so cool!
