the thing about this film and the remake is that...its OLD.

it was made in the freakin 70's. the way the parents are on this version is NO where near the way they are in the remake.

in the remake they still plot revenge, but they're WAY more devastated and even though mari was alive on the new one they were absolutely heartbroken at her appearence. on this one...they're kinda of just...playin tricks on the killers, and are very uneffected. &that makes the movie less effective in my opinion.
