The reason newer people dont like the first RE games, are because they arent used to hard games. In resident evil 0-3 (and code veronica x) you cant just go around shooting everything like in Cod and Cs, so because they eventually die and need to restart their entire save because the lack of ammo or health, the game apparently sucks to them.
@6666666666664 it's not just newer people but you can say that to the people who didn't like it in 98. Then again, there are people like me who like both old games (where they conserve ammo) and new games (amazingly addicting gameplay). I hope I'm not the only guy in the universe who likes the series as a whole and not just from 96-2002

Plus the camera angles can be frustrating and the small inventory can be a bit bothersome to certain people. So it doesn't neccesarily have to be because it's too hard. There can be numerous reasons. Plus when the games first came out, there were probably people who didnt like them then either

If they can't shoot everything in sight and pick up a bunch of health packs and ammo every time they need them they rage quit and complain about how horrible the game design is.
Resident Evil 0-3 were amazing survival horrors.. Resident Evil 4 was fun and great... but the 5th game was shit. The movies are shit, and don't tie in at all... where's the phone? I'm going to call Capcom.
Just have to love the 90's games with awesome music and stories. Specially the Pre-rendered backgrounds. Developers should make more games with this kind of music and style.

actully, play resident evil 0-3 then you will see what resident eveil degeneration is about and how it all happan. the movies make no sense, (resident evil, afterlife, etc) so for all the newer RE fans, look these up.

@zelesoh think about it, the zombies cant move as fast or manipulate weapons like the plagas. but they are hard to kill as in eariler RE games is takes 4 or 5 shots to down just one. capcom if they decide to bring zombies back with new game play style they will find a way to make it just as hard. think about it, you shoot legs,arms anything on the zombie dont effect it's movment tward you. they fall down, they craw tward you, others will be surrounding you, head shot might take 2 or 3 hits.
@Slash1117 which is hilarious because when they released 4 and 5 they didnt have camera angles telling you that you could move the camera your self now with 6 their saying that with camera angles you dont need the hassle to move the camera yourself lol
