  • @mattxr6t Yeah mate solid for sure, if you have got the heads and intake manifold to handle it, I would go one size bigger but any bigger then that and it is gonna be a bit of a pig to drive on the street, my cars manual also which helps... It is a Camtech cam if you wanna check their site out ;)

  • @mattxr6t oh and the compression to handle it, I'm not really able to make the most of my cam quite :( sposed to make power to 7000rpm but my car runs out of air at about 6,400rpm

  • Hey guys, great car mate. i need some help. im puting a vn 308 into my lj torana, i want a efi manifold like yours to keep it under the bonnet, where did you get yours from, i know harrop and torque power sell some similar. also do you think the cam in your car would suit mine. mines a manual v8 t5 box with a 9 inch diff ratio 3.8 i was told a crane h286 cam would be the best but then i saw your video. whats better hydrolic or solid

  • You never know, it might end up in Perth Street Car. Its a very nice, clean looking ride. Wish I had the time and cash to do that to my stato 5L, heads need to come off at the very least, L/H head gasket leaves coolant on the garage floor.

  • ahhh,theres no replacement for displacement!if u swap the manifold with a high rise and the same throttle body u should see an improvement,downside u gota cut a hole in the bonnet,but it looks pretty tough with the air cleaner sittin up a couple of inches anyway!

  • @1982mrbigred haha Spot on yeah that is the ONLY reason i didn't go a single because the cops would be all over me with something sticking out the bonnet Pplan is COME TTB I aso had a chat to CAPA today and worked out what I am going to be doing blower wise also so hopefully some time in the next 15 months or so should have Big Brakes, COME TTB, Stainless Exhaust and V2 T-Trim charger oh yeah charger will be capable of 800hp+ but won't be getting that with this motor, prob more around mid 400's

  • so from them figures basically all u did was fit the efi intake manifold and solid cam?Big gains can be had from playin with the heads now u got the solid cam and intake.Was thinkin u mite have got more from them mods?Where did u get the manifold and was it easy to fit and it looks like it fits under the bonnet ay?

  • @1982mrbigred Yeah head work is next and it ain't stroked either which would have helped the power figure big time BUT it has a forged bottom end ready for boost ;) that is what the engine is built with in mind... Now I just gotta find some more dollars

  • @1982mrbigred Yeah mate 268rwhp, ran out of air at 6,000 rpm, cam makes power to 7,000rpm so need to get a different manifold then should have about 300ishrwhp tuned by Al Gibbs in perth

  • It is still fuel injected just running a dual plane manifold with 1000cfm throttle body...
