Just did this, ran in totally un-prepaired with only Relentless Assault and Combat Clinic in my deck. Four Pheonix Downs and a bunch of potions later i beat him with no stars, no score and a sore ass from sitting in one spot for too long. Yay me?

this is fucking bullshit... you had areosol on or what the fuck ever... i have to manually apply buffs myself.... but hope doesnt have all the buffs in the game.. plus he fucking sucks shit and keeps dying

@irongut12345 go sazh lightning vanille. start off with syn for sazh med for vanille and com. get all buffs and switch to med for vanille rav for lightning and com for sazh. when you get the stag high enough switch to com for lightning rav for vanille and sazh when you get him staggered keep on hitting him till it gets a quarter left of stag.

@InbredMink they are using a lot of buffs wich reduces the damage done. i think they got them from using aegisol etc.

So basicly use Delta Attack to stagger him, Relentless Assault when Staggered and when he is coming out of Stagger switch to a Paradigm with a Sentinel to block is powerful attack.

Almost killed him just now... I was doing just fine but then a very necessary time limit showed up near the end as if the boss was actually easy enough to have a death spell waiting. I came back to it from 4 months ago and remembered why I stopped playing in the first place. I'm not angry at all... I'm good.

@JaySilverComedy You were NOT doing fine if the doom counter shows up. You have 20 min to kill a boss, if it takes you so long you obviously doing something wrong, this boss is killeable in 7-8 min.

Snow (Sen) Zash (Syn) Hope (Syn) ... when the party was full support change to this

Snow (Rav) Zash (Rav) Hope (Rav) .. until he stagger, Then switch to

Snow (Com) Zash (Com) Hope (Rav) ... and hit him much as possible

Repeat the sequence to defeat him

When necessary, to recover energy, changes to Snow (Com) Zash (Syn) Hope (Med)

Always full support the party members

Pd: Snow, Zash and Hope, They are full level in three main roles

@DarthRoy1292 i think i just had -- Lightning, Sazh and Fang, and had syn med com and com rav med and com com rav/rav com com. get him staggered instantly though, get the most you can out of it, then buff yourself up. if you wish you can have a sab paradigm. once your all buffed up, restagger, and beat the living daylight outta him. hopefully then, he will die. if not, go to diversity and wen ur all healed, almost stagger then summon to finish him off.

Beat Dahaka the first time around using Lightning, Vanille, and Sazh. Staggered him at just the right moment so he never even got to use his Firestorm attack. ;)

@lidoxnancy You may need to lvl up more. Or not. I used Lightning, Vanille, and Sazh all of them lvl 4 ravagers. I used COM, SAB, SYN in my first slot but at the start of the battle I used Libra/Librascope followed by RAV, RAV, RAV and RAV, MED, RAV as my main paradigm although if your party gets really weak then MED, MED, and anything else for Sazh is a good paradigm to have as well. Hope that helps a little.

I used Lightning, Hope, and Vanille with Paradigms: Hero's Charge, Variety, Relentless Assault, and Salvation. This works as well. :D Bur yea there is another option if needed by anyone :)

Okay Besides that Chuck Norris Thing.? I'm just going to comment anyway ^_^. Okay so my game play of defeating that guy was: My team is Lightning, Fang,And Snow. So my Paradigm deck was Relentless Assault, Cerberus Attrtion (Sab, Sen, Med) Solidarity and others, But that was all i used. I did Libra and Debuffed him with Deprotect & Slow with no Buffy so i stayed on the safe side and use Solidarity and Attrition when i needed 2 then bomb-fucked him with attacks of Relentless Assault and Cerberus

@PeronMiles you can get buffs when you use a shroud or if someone casts the buff on you (they have to be a synergist) and saboteurs can cast debuffs on your enemies

to beat him you NEED to use both shrouds twice this way you won't loose much HP and your attacks will be so swift and strong that he won't be able to curse you at all . at least that's what happened with me

I killed Dahaka using just a single warrior with Water Sword and Time Control magic. Also, his weakness was water.

@AlexIsTouhouing Who're you using? You'll want 2-3 COMs, 3 RAVs, 1-2 MEDs, 1 SAB, and 1 SYN. Have your SYN buff the party while SAB debuffs Dahaka and COM attacks. Protect and Shell are priorities. You'll want to at least inflict Imperil. Once done, shift to a chain-oriented paradigm (RA or T-D). Heal as needed with COM-MED-MED. It's important to keep attacking at all times. Stagger Dahaka, Deshell/Deprotect him, raise his chain with T-D, and finish him off with Cerberus or Aggression.

Holy crap, I can't believe how overleveled I am. I beat him under a minute, and then when I checked the target time and it said 6 minutes, I couldn't believe it. If anyone cares I'm using Light/Sazh/Vanille and I've maxed my crystarium all I could for Chapter 11.

I don't feel like spending any points on other classes besides each Character's main 3 since they get the job done and I need to max out the next level of the Crystarium in Chap 12. It took me like 10 hours or something like that, over 5 days.

@mrhabulaba im just talking about my own experience, but you dont necessarily need aegisol to beat that bastard. i cant explain it, but lets just say that its good start if that Foulminous Firestorm - thing doesnt kill you immediately. just go to beat some monsters and make youre characters stronger, thats what i did. and if it doesnt help, keep training youre characters until you are able to kick dahakas ass.

@Daibron excuse me for my frustration i've beaten this fucker! ive found out that with careful party choice and proper paradigm management its not such an invinsible boss. you just have to protect your party with buffs all the time. and the shrouds also. my party was Fang, Vanille, Hope. i've also beaten a tough Barthandelus and i think every boss is easier from now.

Where can I find more shrouds? I know you can't buy them until later in the game and they cost a fortune but they would make boss battles easier. I think you can break down Doctor's Code to get a few?
