im tired of every one putting the ion down and saying whats better, save you shit, show it on the field, the ion can rip just as good as alot of guns, just because its inexpensive doesnt mean anything..its all in the player and the players prefrence..

orange bolts were good... FOR GEN 3 TIMMYS. Firebolts were good, till tech t came out with the L7. thats what my gf is runnin in her ion, virtue board tech t L7 virtue eyes sith frame, PE qevs.. shoots good for as lil as it cost us (200)

It drops the operating pressure by about 40 psi, and its less than 1/4 the weight of the stock bolt

They have pretty much the same operation method as the stock bolt. The L7 for the Ion comes with a bolt stop with a smaller hole, and a back plug for the back of the firing chamber since it doesn't have as long of a tail like the stock bolt or Firebolt.
The XE has a back plate on it for B.O.B. and the original Ion does not. I'm pretty sure the breech and fire chamber are connected as opposed to the breech and fire chamber being seperate and screwing together like the original Ion. Although I might be wrong about the XE's breech/firing can but I'm pretty sure it's like that cuz that's how it is on the Vibe. I would like the option of B.O.B. but the body kit was a gift, and I don't really wanna spend $70 on the conversion kit.
I would say the Techt L7 bolt. It's what I currently have (and won't ever change) installed and its phenomenal. It's not the only bolt I've used either I've had the stock bolt (obviously) and I used to have the Firebolt. The L7 is best by far. Personally I wouldn't touch the Orange bolt it's flimsy junk.

nah i really beg to differ i keep it capped at 10 bps when i play so i don't waste paint, and with the dwell i'm running i'm getting great efficiency.
i had it at around 15 (i think), but i also have a qev in there too so if you don't that might affect what you can set it at. you should be able to figure out how to adjust your dwell in gun manual or your board manual if you have an aftermarket board. i think for changing dwell with the stock board when you get into the settings mode it will be either double-flashing or scattered-flashing red (but i'm not sure so just read your manual)
whether a trigger is good or bad is really just preference. it depends on if you like your trigger to curve out our in. the CP Rake curves inward, and the CP Sling curves outward. this trigger is like a crude "S," because it curves out, then in. i personally like how this trigger has a good mix. personally i would recommend a Custom Products or Critical trigger, because they will provide a smoother trigger pull.
Ey its me again, the guy you made a vid for <3, anyways you should put in the standard ion bolt and start shooting and then put in the firebolt and your new bolt, so you can ACTUALLY see the diffirence, in the bolts... Thanks :|
thats a good idea, but it would be a long process, due to me not having bolt out back. but honestly the difference between each bolt is insane. when i went to (ft.) detrick last week (first time i was there in a while) the refs were surprised with how quiet my gun was. i may make a video like that in the future, but it would be time consuming and i' kinda lazy :P. plus i would hafta mess with dwell and debounce each time i changed the bolt due to the different amount of air use and bolt mass.
Well you could just make a vid now of this bolt shooting, then when you get around to it, do the other bolts and upload them all together, well plz tell me when you make the video eventually. Thanks and good luck shooting people with that gun, cuz it looks liek it could get the whole team out just by spraying them in like 3 seconds :P

2 things why your wrong.
1. I have both bolts, I tried upgrading to the L7 but i didnt like it as much so now its on my worse ion.
2. Before I started using the L7 i was talking with a guy at Pevs and he reccommended staying with the firebolt cause its better. WHAT NOW!!!!

The XE has a back plate on it for B.O.B. and the original Ion does not. I'm pretty sure the breech and fire chamber are connected as opposed to the breech and fire chamber being seperate and screwing together like the original Ion. Although I might be wrong about the XE's breech/firing can but I'm pretty sure it's like that cuz that's how it is on the Vibe. I would like the option of B.O.B. but the body kit was a gift, and I don't really wanna spend $70 on the conversion kit.

i recomend keep your dwell and ROF to factory settings it is the best for your gun and gives your gun the best performance
