i don't think tapping the bearings is a good idea. you can damage it. best way is to use the axle of your trucks or if you have a skate tool, use the bearing press.

Get a drill and a drill bit used for tapping that just fits it, and re-thread it!

Damn, don't ever pry with a screwdriver ! use yout truck's axle to pry, also use the part of the axle where the bearings meet it to put the bearings back.

What Xeoklah said is much easier. Hitting your bearing in with a screwdriver can actually damage the bearing.

ya know, there is an EASIER way to put on bearings. Just set 1 bearing on he axel of the truck and pput the wheel on it and push. then take off and do the same for the other. Simple as that...
