How is the cai holding up without cutting the fender well? I know a couple of people that said you could hear the intake piping vibrating against the car?
i installed a cai last week and have been having problems with the cel....good video just wondering if you had the same issue...... i reset the ecu and the fuel is still to lean.... just wondering if you used flash pro to fix it, or never had an issue ... thanks
Great video. If you have the link from your CAI purchase, please post it. I'm sure lots of us wanna know where you bought that nice kit for only $50. Thx!
Great video man, a real "how to". You didn't say if you got a different muffler. I just bought an '01 Civic for better MPG, and put on a 2" pipe 23" long glasspack muffler, only $20. Kinda purrs now, no dumb sound like a ricer. I also just ordered a CAI and these mods are to get a little better MPG, only! I have 60's muscle cars for speed, the Civic is only an A to B car. Thanks for posting the video!
great job man... i have a typhoon kit k&n and i want to convert it on a cai sistem with some polish aluminium... i recomended you the weapon r header for r18 engine and thermo tec header wrap..... big big gains!!!!! trust me.... mi r18 have 182bhp.... 0-60mph 8,3sec... big change man.... of course.... ia have unichip and weapon r trhottle booster too.... you will have great acceleration with all this stuff
not bad. a little more work involved than i was hoping. I dont have a full intake, just a k&n filter. I do have a throttle body spacer and custom exhaust though. nice rims. If you install anything else on video, send it to me.
This video is very informative. I plan on buying a cold air intake w/ turbine fan for my '09 Si. Question.. Looks like after you installed the aftermarket intake, there was no room for the stock resonator. What is that used for?
@jbird04201 Resonators make it so you cant hear the intake exhaust. You know how on a bone stock car when you accelerate its quite quiet? Like you hear the engine but thats it.
When you remove the resonator you hear a "roar" type of sound, and when the filter itself is exposed you can hear a "turbo/whistle" type of sound.
When the exhaust is modified you hear the VOOOOOM we all know about
Great Video bro. Color would have been nice but great video

@jbird04201 couldn't tell ya what its used for. but as far as i know your gonna have to remove it. even for a si.
trashman203 9 months ago
@jbird04201 the used of resonator is to reduce the engine sound. if you removed the resonator, it sounds better than stock.

@trashman203 this is better than a short ram, but the problem is it is expensive and it is hard to install.

@trashman203 Quality is great, The DIY is very strait forward and clear, and the black and white helps eliminate all distractions. Great video man.
