@badawg1962 They didn't steal it ffs, she accepted the offer. If she wanted more for it she would have had to sit on it for months, paid to advertise it and deal with all the "tyre-kickers" that would undoubtedly have came along.
I work in a BMW main dealership and I would have offered her 12k for it. I can almost guarantee she went to dealerships before she went to a pawn shop.....they obviously offered her less.
@TomEire1 spoken like a pompus jerk, a clue ... i would say if you were talking to her dead husband ... he deffinatley would have turned down anything under 25k for that car. and i agree selling your car yourself .. would relieve people from dealing with arogant twits like you! go back to work with your BMW over priced cars.
@badawg1962 Hahaha Ahhh don't be like that, no need for silly little names, I'm only trying to wisen you up a bit, don't get offended. This is just a business transaction, capitalism at its finest. Its buyers market and she had the choice to walk away, but she didn't, because its probably the best offer she had, had for the car.
I apologise if I seem arrogant but, in fairness, you seem pretty rude, and you're really not thinking this situation through, fully.
@TomEire1 it was your arogant comment " get a clue" that might have attached the Jerk comment in my last remark. i have seen more rude comments attached to replies. but i agree they took the car for FAR less than its TRUE worth. taking into account its condition, the milage. my saying " they stole it from her" yes is wrong as she agreed to that price . now do you REALLY think if her husband was alive. knowing more about that car than you and i, i'm sure. would have let it go for 15K ?
@badawg1962 No, your right he probably would not, but it all depends on the situation also. People who would own that car probably have two other family cars. If the ran into financial problem and need money fast and they have to sell that car, (car like that would take a few months to sell at retail) they really have no choice but to go to a dealer, or pawn shop, and we all work on commission, so thats the actual value of the car. But really, it's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it
They have their own respect. Buy cheap and sell high for business purpose.

They are some kind of rip off artists. I would not sell them a bottle cap.

@badawg1962 Actually I don't sell used cars I only sell new cars, I do take them as trade and then send them to franchises however.
You need to get a clue sonny, its how the motor industry works.
F.Y.I. If you want good money for your car, sell it yourself.
