  • used to live in a ground floor flat in those days going back when i bought this and the upstairs guy was very noisy i used to retaliate with this track on my 40 watt per channel trio stereo amp and deck......LOUD...that shut him up everytime

  • I remember so clearly getting this after only having heard In the Court of . . . it blew my mind

  • this is the reason why crimson is my favorite my of all time! they got BALLS!!

  • I was at this show, these guys were streets ahead!

  • @waynealarsen no way...

  • @ClassicRockMan95 yes, at convention hall Asbury Park. I was expecting the 1st line up ( but, I guess it was Wetton on bass and the Sinfields were gone). they were amazing, the version of 21st Century Schzoid man was truly a high light of my 15 year old life!

  • they all knew eachother's playing style so well... it's truly perfect!

  • The Crim are rock n roll improv gods...They r 2 rock what Miles n J coltrane r 2 jazz improv gods!

  • TRUE PROGRESSIVE WORK...BY THE CREATOR'S OF PROG ROCK

  • one of many improv pieces they did only once, never to be played again. If you like this, look up Voyage To The Center Of The Cosmos, and Heaven And Earth by ProjeKct X... you will not be disappointed.

  • all hail the power of the russian buit big muff

  • Increible

  • SO damn good.... friggin tasty!

  • This caused my inner child to cry, and he wants some more.

  • improvised lives much better than studio sympho crap

  • King Crimson is the only band I know that make an improv this epic with an ENTIRE BAND!

  • Sometime i wonder why they agress us with their music avenues ?

  • This everything I ever loved about King Crimson. And John Wetton at the height of his powers!

  • The best of wetton, fripp and bruford.

  • This is probably the best improv recorded by this era of the band. It's great that this managed to get recorded and released.

  • Fripp is on fire here. The tone that he gets out of his guitar here alone is incredible but those amazing bursts of speed floor me. How powerful were this man's fingers to be able to play this fast without tricks?

  • Is it me or this is really best guitar solo ever?

  • bill bruford, la cagò, es muy weno

  • sustain

  • I remember seeing/hearing the "Lark's tongues in aspic" version from the U.S.A. Live album but it has now disappeared. I'd like to kindly ask someone for another upload of it. Thanks in advance.

  • When people think of Led Zeppelin, they usually think of Stairway to Heaven, or Kashmir

When they think of YES, they usually think of Roundabout, or Close to the Edge

When they think of Pink Floyd, they usually think of The Dark Side of The Moon, or The Wall

When people think of King Crimson, they usually think of 21st Century Schizoid Man.

Maybe Asbury Park should be the 'or' ???

  • @Lightmane321 Asbury Park is definitely the best King Crimson.

  • @Lightmane321 Asbury Park is definitely the Best King Crimson.

  • @BetterTasteThanU LOL... You're a fuckin' idiot.

  • @ScootTheCat it's okay that he thinks it's "just noise". I think that's a compliment. Bet Fripp would love it. ; )

  • @BetterTasteThanU Someone's mom and dad were busy with other things!

  • Very nice album. I remember playing this tune on full volume, so great and still is. They all are into the flow playing this tune.

  • Awesome! Check out KC's Collector's club CD live in Ashbury Park for the full unedited, unoverdubbed version - it runs to over 11 minutes. But this version is great too.

  • ooooh yeaaaah!

  • Great Album....Love it...Thanks for uploading........Still giving me deep emotions....Fripp's guitar sound is so cutting......He's a freakin' Genius, no doubt.

  • Does it get any better than this?

  • One of the best improves ever recorded.

  • Comment removed

  • I heard this once WITHOUT the bass and drums.... just Fripp.... Its a whole nother song entirely without the bass and drums.... I ran the tape through a megaphone!!!

    nobody will ever really know....

  • This is the Crimson I know-the greatest progressive rock band in history!

  • The nastiest bass tones I've ever heard! John Wetton is phenomenal!

  • Wow, that is astoundingly good. Really modern sounding and funky. Wow.

King Crimson were the lords of wonder around '69 - '75. Nice.

    - Murray
