I recently discovered it hiding away, and began playing it. STILL love it.. idk why but I always like the older games, they were just so simple and addicting.

I killed drak on normal difficulty by portaling to town, and shooting arrows at him, then doing entering the portal, heal up, then go back. rinse and repeat. Or my first cursed item that turned me to an old man lol. good times...

Imo without a doubt the BEST GAME EVER on the PC. Once played it at my neighbours and got it myself, played for monnths and months. For people who are stuck on this game, play the game on easy, complete it, then try the normal mode and so on. You also get better weapons on the normal and hard mode.
i cant even beat level 4 on this game, ardyl is the only level i can beat, but the other one next to it w/ ratman and skelingtons that r more modified is 2 hard. i play the ps game.
It's weird. I played through the whole game, got my ass kicked at every turn, had to use a glitch to boost my guy so he could stand a chance against the boss, and this was my reward. A campy music video to a song I could hear by popping the game into a CD player.
And yet I still felt surprisingly satisfied with my reward.
Makes me really wish I had a computer that could handle the PC version. multiplayer sounds epic in this game

Former Blizzard employees created that one, so theres no wonder that theres a lot of familiarity.
It was way better than Darkstone, the movies were great, the story was fresh, and the voices were really good. Darkstone has a lame story, weird graphics and is really cartoonish. Diablo 2 at least had the looks and it was more exciting to play it! And plus, Diablo had like 5 acts, an additional one with the explansion, better leveling, better gameplay, better spell-learning etc.. Everything was better!

And appereantly, LordBicen, you don't realize how much Blizzard went through like on June 2003, many key employees of Blizzard North (the guys that were making Diablo) because of a dispute with Vivendi. And they had to cancel one game, and Blizzard said it was a: "Blizzard North kind of game", which probably meant Diablo, since Blizzard North was responsible for both Diablos (and the ex.) And in 2005, when Blizzard North kinda came back and started on Diablo, it was shut down by Vivendi...
I didn't SAY that they been working on it for 8 years. I said it's been 8 years since d-2 and Lord Of Destruction. What they went through? Who cares? They made WC3 it's Exp and went directly into Wow and have been doing WOW ever since. They make some good games, but they take too long. SC fans have suffered for it too. So did Diablo fans for 4 friggin years after it debued in 96. Diablo was a game blizzard didn't have much faith in when they released it, but it took off quick.
and they were also Quick to Jack up the price on it too. I got my copy straight off the shelf for 39 bucks at best buy, but about 3 months later you couldn't find a copy for less than 50 and change. And i Still say that d-2 wasn't as good as it could have been. They promised guild support, there was none. We got a stupid stash chest in the center of town instead, and it was severely lacking in space. Tons of crap to collect, and nowhere to put it. But players beat that with additional toons.
Darkstone was a good tide over till D-2's release, but Guild Wars was what Diablo 2 SHOULD have been, but even it has it's issues. They are way too anal about the play balancing for those that PVP, and instead of making it so that PVE can get weapons armor and equipment in a more Diablo kind of way, you only get access to the same play-balanced crap the PVP players get. All your armor you have to BUY, you get NO armor drops, and all armors have to be CUSTOMIZED for your character.
Ok, what game were you playing? In Diablo 2, you dont buy the armor, it's useless, you get better armor from DROPS! The chest's room was increased with the Expansion! There were some class-specific armors and that's cool, because if everyone was able to wear everything, the game wouldn't be that interesting.
GUILD WARS IS AN MMORPG WHILST DIABLO 2 IS A DARK FANTASTY THEMED ACTION RPG WITH HACK-AND-SLASH STYLE GAMEPLAY THAT GUILD WARS CAN'T OFFER! And we all care about blizzard and their problems

I can Like a Game but not like EVERYTHING about it, or think that it WAS everything that EVERYONE expected it to be or it could have been. As i said, Bliz makes some good games, but they take too long, and i am sick of this "Good Enough" attitude they have about their games, and don't deliver on promises made to the fancom, LIKE D-2's Guild Support Lie. After all, it WAS the guild Community that made d-1 what it was.
It is true that they haven't been working on Diablo 3 for 8 years, as for the past 4 or 5 most of the old Diablo 2 team, along with various of Blizzard's others moved on to form their own company ArenaNet and with this came Guild Wars, and soon, Guild Wars 2.

You won't find Games for the New Systems because most of the Games are Boring and nothing new.
The Best Games are the Old one's^_^
The only thing you can try is to emulate the PS version on your PSP

I didn't SAY that they been working on it for 8 years. I said it's been 8 years since d-2 and Lord Of Destruction. What they went through? Who cares? They made WC3 it's Exp and went directly into Wow and have been doing WOW ever since. They make some good games, but they take too long. SC fans have suffered for it too. So did Diablo fans for 4 friggin years after it debued in 96. Diablo was a game blizzard didn't have much faith in when they released it, but it took off quick.

and they were also Quick to Jack up the price on it too. I got my copy straight off the shelf for 39 bucks at best buy, but about 3 months later you couldn't find a copy for less than 50 and change. And i Still say that d-2 wasn't as good as it could have been. They promised guild support, there was none. We got a stupid stash chest in the center of town instead, and it was severely lacking in space. Tons of crap to collect, and nowhere to put it. But players beat that with additional toons.

Darkstone was a good tide over till D-2's release, but Guild Wars was what Diablo 2 SHOULD have been, but even it has it's issues. They are way too anal about the play balancing for those that PVP, and instead of making it so that PVE can get weapons armor and equipment in a more Diablo kind of way, you only get access to the same play-balanced crap the PVP players get. All your armor you have to BUY, you get NO armor drops, and all armors have to be CUSTOMIZED for your character.

Ok, what game were you playing? In Diablo 2, you dont buy the armor, it's useless, you get better armor from DROPS! The chest's room was increased with the Expansion! There were some class-specific armors and that's cool, because if everyone was able to wear everything, the game wouldn't be that interesting.

I was referring to GUILD WARS, when i was (Wait for it, Stupid) talking about there being NO ARMOR DROPS! You had to BUY them/Craft them in GUILD WARS. I was Saying GUILD WARS could have been BETTER if they had IMPLEMENTED an Armor drop system LIKE DIABLO 1 & 2 had on PVE. DID YOU UNDERSTAND it this time?

I can Like a Game but not like EVERYTHING about it, or think that it WAS everything that EVERYONE expected it to be or it could have been. It's like your Girlfriend, you love her, but sometimes she pisses you off. As i said, Bliz makes some good games, but they take too long, and i am sick of this "Good Enough" attitude they have about their games, and don't deliver on promises made to the fancom, LIKE D-2's Guild Support Lie. After all, it WAS the guild Community that made d-1 what it was.

It is true that they haven't been working on Diablo 3 for 8 years, as for the past 4 or 5 most of the old Diablo 2 team, along with various of Blizzard's others moved on to form their own company ArenaNet and with this came Guild Wars, and soon, Guild Wars 2.

If you have darkstone, this song can be played in-game by putting any sum of money in the collection plate beside the woman and the guitar player who are located in town near the welcome sign.
