  • will we feel any thing

  • thats a huge meteor

  • @end

    That's no moon....

  • Trolls trolling trolls who troll trolls. Trolololol.

I managed to find the original, with narration... and Pink Floyd is still way better.

  • can someone please tell me why i think this is the perfect visual/audio mix iv seen.. and why i love watching it so much?

  • This song reminds me of orgasms O_o

  • lol..... survivors: animals that live in the mountains, humans that live in deep caves and underground, fire activated plant seeds, fish, and those people in the nuclear submarines patrolling the arctic, other submarines, cockroach?, and secluded areas of the world (uber-secluded) i.e. that world of dinosaurs under our continental crusts (these can be 70km thick, oceans= 10km)..... talk about adam and eve O_o

  • this hasn't happed to the earth six different times. hasn't happened once

  • @BrendanHobson204 Its happend! the only reason life still remains today is because the ocean held salt which had life cells in them which later formed to be Humans...US! Below the ocean is the only safe place to be when this happens but only for CELLS!

  • @TheWickedEnd0851 wtf you talking about cells? GOD created us . so dont give me that science bullshit

  • @BrendanHobson204 Bahahaahaha! great theory , And where is this.....GOD?!

  • @TheWickedEnd0851 So is there still cells down there that said oh well yall go ahead im not gonna evolve yet???

  • Get in there Big Ben is still standing!

  • Ok first off the debris that entered Earth's orbit would not come back down and swallow the Earth in lava.

  • Im scared.

  • This has happened 6 times in Earth's history, and there are still living organisms on Earth. U mad Apocalypse?

  • @KinkoDeMayo5 well, yeah, but nothing that big has hit the Earth....right?

  • @GriffithAMPS Creation of the moon: mars-sized body smashed into the Earth 4,000,000,000 years ago. Debris entered the orbit from the collision and clumped together to make the moon :)

And probably before that objects of this size hit the Earth.

  • Holy fuck they made this too real. Amazing.

  • "the evidence shows that this has happened at leasts (<--LOL) 6 times in earth's history"

  • I want to die like this: listening Pink Floyd!

  • They should rename the video: "Pluto gets pissed at being changed from a planet to a planetoid, and comes for revenge"

  • So that's where chuck norris parked his car

  • @deeboiz LMAO!! xD

  • can that even be called an "asteroid"???

sincerely, it appears to be larger than Pluto. Maybe smaller. But at least 1000km in diameter.

    No wonder its SPHERICAL.

  • check out "purpleeyeswtf" channel (anime comedy)

  • WHERES THE VERSION OF THIS IN HD??

it had like a million views wtf

  • Crap,i`m in the blast radius-Oh well,let`s get it over with :)

  • @masterchief1425 thats all you gotta say D:<??? im friggen scared xD were all in the radius...

  • japan peeled off like a sticker... : /

  • 2:37 oh, global warming, thats what they mean :0

  • 1:44 Japan is literally being split into a million pieces while being tossed into space.

    Goodbye Nintendo!

  • gf all

  • life alert will protect me!

  • Geez... how depressing... makes you think about things...

  • @MightyDragonfly

the only time such a huge sized planetoid hit Earth was about 4 billion years ago, when the impact created our moon. There are no bodies left in the solar system, since its formation, with orbits that can hit Earth...

  • im going to do 26 hits of acid and float above the necropolis .

  • I'd hate to be alive that day. : ^(

  • There will be peace in the Middle East after this!

  • 6 times in the past? i don't think so....the probability of evolution happening in the first place is so small as to be ludicrous... but to think that it restarted 5 times in the short span allowed even by evolutionary standards is bordering on mentally unstable.....

  • @fowzie777 Who says life started every time?

  • anyone name of the song ?

  • @belgicasken The Great Gig In The Sky - Pink Floyd

  • Comment removed

  • ricostruzione di impatto veramente eccezzionale! chi vivra vedra!!!!!!!

  • Daaamn

  • Would this affect house prices?

  • terravivos com will save all of you, do it... It can survive this, not only Chuck Norris

  • And God said, Let the earth is separated from the water, there is life, go and multiplense for land.

Another thing I had to laugh is that as they took the planet Pluto from the solar sitema became angry and came out here to give us a beating xD.

  • @NemesisACR wtf are u talking about learn to spell

  • Buena canción para morir.

  • Pink Floyd ftw xP

  • Pink Floyd ftw.

  • We MUST colonize other planets or mankind is doomed. And this is an awesome animation. And answering some peoples comments meteors can easily get that big.

  • Comment removed

  • Ive all of the comments and not one said anything about "good job" or "nice effect" come guys, its YouTube. Instead of saying "fake and gay" or "this would never happen" or something making fun of the video put something nice. I think its a nice effect even if this guy didnt make in. silence2205 keep up the good work. Oh yeah feel free to say something mean to me because, Its the MATURE thing to do.

  • 6 times ? oh well, 6 times with a planet that big would probably have knocked us out of our solar system (joke) but we'd probably get to far away from the sun so that water couldn't be in a liquid form so that new life could be reborn.

  • terravivos will save you

  • @hockeydomination99 what? You have any idea how deep a meteor that size would get into the earth? And even if terravivos did survive the impact, to what effect? to be stuck underground for a year and wait for supplies to run out, and then end up cannibalizing each other/starving to death until you die? I would much prefer a meteor to that.

  • Hot? rock in deepest ocean: A LOT of steam/waves but NO FIRE !

I'd dare even say a "warm" meteorite hitting landmass (Siberia e.g.) gives limited heat; only little from friction in atmosphere (a SPLITsecond!), most from rock itself (meteorite = mostly ICE !!) from it's IMPACT. So technically NO LAVA but DUST!!

  • @oddballsok

IF there is lava it should come from breaking up the earth's crust ..which IMMEDIATELY gets in contact with all surface's water = steam.

Only THATcoktail of dust and steam kills the surface..but probably only on the impact side.

  • @oddballsok

Probably a such great miniplanet hitting us on one side creates a shock wave within the earth's core (fluid lava under pressure) which breaks open the earthcrust on the OPPOSITE side as well !

Solution: stay /live under water in large life pod's/beanshaped sub's

  • 6 times?? wtf earth is a noob

  • A meteor with volcanic activity?

  • this is whats happening on the other side of the planet

  • 2012!

  • This has happened 6 times before! That doesn't bode well... ....

  • haha meteor? thats a fucking small planet!

  • this video is such a fail. there is no way the trees would still be standing or the sea still there if all life was vapourised. and ther's no way the planet would be engulfed in fire.

  • @BlueDagger20 if it has happened 6times it will prob happen again but at that time we will prob be able 2 deflect it

  • @AliEnDesTrOyEr117 You watch too many movies I'm affraid. There's nothing that can deflect a meteor, even if we throw every nuke on earth at it. No, only Chuck Norris can save us then....

  • @Crusader2010 `your a silly person lol there is a gravity laser that they are making that changes the path of a mtr by a couple of miles

  • Looks like we'd better start training some white mages to cast holy on that bitch

  • only i survive whit 1000 hot babes and friends

  • death star at 440!

  • Surfers would have caught the PERFECT wave in there -_- then died

  • This song is basically a black girl screaming

  • @5150BMAN oh man now that you pointed it out...it was more impressive before when i thought it was some dude.

  • @5150BMAN

    It's Pink Floyd, & she's white.

  • SOME FOTHE BIGGEST IDIOTS AND KNOWHOWS ARE ON YOU TUBE. STOP MISLEADING THE GENERAL PUBLIC. An event of this magnitude only happened once on Earth; during the creation of the moon 4 billion years ago. The biggest verified extinction event is the yucatan crator which was responsible for wiping out the dinasours. The biggest impact crator is in South Africa, which is a lot larger than the yucatan. It is the oldest and biggest impact crator on Earth to ever be found. Its 2 billions years old.

  • Where is the video with the narration instead of the music?

  • i like how the music is all calm..

  • If it's happened 8 times in earths history then how are we here?

  • Oh well. At least it'd be quick, right?

  • @Daaaaf no.... based on this video, It will be very slow burning and suffocating to death. Everyone will die in torture..

  • @ilikewiigames Ah. That's a damn shame. Let's hope it doesn't happen then.

  • ouch

  • That would be THE scariest fucking thing to ever live to see.

  • thank god for Vault Tec :P

  • @PKNinja777 im in vault 217

  • There doesn't appear to be either a meteor or a simulation involved in the video.

  • welcome to the new era

  • AHAHA THIS 2012

  • imagine your were stting in the sun(rays) and drinking your ber and then you get an astroid on your head..

  • Omg this might happens in 2036 ! With the asteroid apophis !

  • @RawrItsMe94

    hmm...

apophis is only 500 meters across MAX, for an object to cause an extinction, it needs to be at least 1-5 kilometers in diameter,

  • atleast our planet will look badass

  • who belive in the end of the world is a fucking noob omg if u belive u are gay

  • @rockyul15 ROFL. You have to be the biggest fucking idiot that has ever posted on the internet. This comment was truly the saddest thing I've seen in a long time. Regardless of beliefs, you are just a fucking moron.

  • i shit my pants.

  • This is the Best Music for the Video :)

  • @Daishee absolutely

  • @Frightninbolt true on that but if life does go on and when millions of years pass you have to ask who will take charge of this planet after life does return to this planet and what they will do if we shall be uncovered and studied or if we will truly be forgotten .....

  • @jzthereaper100

Well my friend, I do believe it will be nothing short of the greatest form of irony. In the late 1800's, we discovered the first Dinosaur fossils. They were the most dominate species on this planet ever. When another form of life arises and dominates the Earth after we die out, We, and the other animals who died on this planet will be the dinosaurs to the new life. WE will be the fossils crudely put back together for display and entertainment.

  • @jzthereaper100 & that's the brilliance of it all that we don't know what will happen & all we can do is wander & imagine what will come after us what the future world will look like how will we be looked as in the future that's what i love about it we build our empires not noticing there's a world spinning rotating around a sun in a solar system & that solar system is spinning in a galaxy that galaxies are spinning around bigger galaxies life itself is beautifu l if we know were to look

  • Did you just say the atmosphere doesn't burn? Go light a match. Now, what do you think is happening?

  • i'm moving to akropolis right now!!

  • this reminds me like in Legend Of Zelda Majora's mask when the moon falls...

  • how does two planets colliding spark a huge fireball the atmosphere doesnt burn...or does it?

  • @Commenteronlylolz friction with the air when your going that fast causes extreme heat.

  • only chuck norris can survive that

  • @ComicHed and gravity cat

  • @ComicHed

I'm fucking sick to death of shit Chuck Norris quotes. ITS NOT FUNNY! SO STOP IT!

  • Comment removed

  • @123ATOM321 so leave it alone. stop being a hothead to stuff that u cant do shit about. ITS FUNNY TO ME and if its not funny to you, then learn to find it funny

  • @ComicHed A blast from Howard Sterns Ass can shoot that thing back into space.

  • We are safe from anything that big now. That stuff shit went down in the Hadrean

  • Well aren't we going to feel like a peice of fried chicken...

  • @DrifterXYX well pass the gravy LOL!

  • dark side of the moon....killer....

    one of the best albums....EVER

  • I'd pull a Bruce Willis and headbutt away that meteor before it hit earth. Don't worry, brothers, I'll spend my last breath defending you!

  • ok....now i'm freaked out.

  • @david10006 That's what the makers of these 'end of the world' videos want! Don't give it to those pricks.

  • wouldn't this severely throw off earth's rotation and rotation about the sun?

  • wouldn't matter we'd all be dead anyway!:)

  • Don't worry too much about it...if that ever happened, your death wouldn't last more than a few seconds. & it probably wouldn't hurt too much.

  • And what a show those few seconds would be.

"I am not frightened of dying,Any time will do I dont mind,Why should I be frightened of dying,I see no reason for it you gotta go some time.."

  • @GhostOfSydBarrett1 The thing about dying... is how you die...

  • That looks more like a small moon/planetoid to me.

  • look @ the size compared to the earth when u can see the whole scale. Its actually not very large

  • We would be screwed.

  • this is why we should live in space!!! (And remain in space, not colonizing planets)

  • @DnBcarga do you know what would happen to us if we did that...

  • enlighten me ! :)

  • @DnBcarga why not colonize the shit out space?

  • lol i know sadly there would be no trees

  • Isn't the word evidence a bit misleading here? I thought that due to tectonic changes, the impact record for earth doesn't really go back that far, apart from at cratons... and there are no craters that exist today from a meteorite of this size. My guess is that 'evidence' just means an educated guess based on observations of impacts throughout the solar system. Still... it would really suck balls and I've no doubt it has happened, and probably will again.

  • @GaryKoji

Theres a crater off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula that m, measures the size and impact for such collision to happen

  • No not really. The Chicxulub impact was caused by an asteroid estimated at about 10km and is the largest known crater I think, although it did mark a possible extinction event, the effects were not the same as this proposed 500km asteroid.

  • The great gig in the sky

  • i know that the earth has been hit by massive meteors before, but i didnt know it was hit six times. astonishing

  • whats the song?

  • @WhoBoy93

Its pink floyd gig in the sky.

Off the Dark Side of the Moon Album.

  • The majority of you guys commenting are morons. If you knew anything about astrophysics you would know this is possible. If GALAXIES collide together, why the fuck can't an Asteroid crash into earth? A Galaxy is much larger than Earth. Jupiter was struck by 3 comments in 1994, the moon shows signs of large impacts that filled half the surface with lava. Search for Cosmos by Carl Sagan on youtube and learn something you idiots.

  • @rontayan woah Jupiter was struck by 3 comments in 1994?? man I know getting struck by 3 COMETS would be bad but comments damn...where they mean comments?? cause they might have hurt Jupiters feelings...learn to spell dumbass before you call ppl morons if you cant spell kinda hurts your credibility on any other subject

  • @BravesfanI can spell, I just used the wrong wording. you fuck stick. And YES Jupiter is still having issues with self esteem because of it.

  • @rontayan, You know when galaxies "collide" there is hardly any collision between stars and planets.

    Derp derp derp.

  • @bIoodypingu and hardly isn't a 100% affirmative answer is it?

Let's and another DERP for your shaky reply.

  • 6 times really i wanna c the evidence

  • @Makaria400,

Yeah the evidence is called 5th Grade science class. if you google earth Meteor impact you'll get what your looking for.

  • VERY highly doubt that will ever happen n im a supersticious person

  • I'm sure the dinosaurs felt the same way.

  • if you actually believe this garbage let me know so i can get you an all expense paid trip to the MOTHER F*CKING LUNATIC ASYLUM by the way party at my house dec 22nd 2012

  • 6 times my ass

  • fucking epic song

  • Beautiful.

  • What a beautiful song for such a devastating event.

  • Oops...someone forgot to cast Holy in time.

  • this song better be playin when the apocalypse comes

  • THere are no near earth crossing asteroids anywhere near that size. All planet killers are much smaller than that, and they are all accounted for. It is only the small asteroids that may have escaped detection this long and will have escaped detection until they get so close we can't do anything about it. We are talking asteroids the size of a house, not the size of the state of Texas!

  • Actually a meteor bigger than that is going to hit us on 2032 it is called Apophis.

  • No, It's on 2029! Oh, 20... Something. I forgot. Oh yeah! About a 1 in 200,000 chance impact in about 2020? There is also a 1 in 1.3 million chance somewhere in 2030 something! Oh, that asteroid is also smaller than that by 50 kilometers. Still enough to kill us. Ah! May I be mistaken! It's only about 450 metres! Phew, thought it was 1,000 times larger! Good thing it'll burn up to a crisp.

  • Yup. We also have big nukes. Asteroids that size also probably are real scarce here, and the other belts, they'll get burn't up. But if ever a 500 kilometer asteroid is gonna hit us, that's probably gonna be a long time. We're gonna invent Hypersoars soon, and then after that we may fly to other planets with more devices. And let me tell you, the asteroid that size will probably only come in a billion years - Yeah. Dino Extinction asteroids come only in 100 million... Man, maybe I was wrong?

  • @LordDogbone please tell me you dont believe in this bullcrap

  • this is wrong as far as I know, first there weren't so many impacts, I think some really bad impact happened last 65 million years ago when the dinosaurs died, the mass extinction around 200 million years ago wasn't a meteor as newest researches show...and I'm sure that the earth was never hit by an object this big...maybe 5-15km in diameter but never 500, I think the earth wouldn't stand that and maybe pushed out of it's orbit^^

  • Yes your right

  • You are absolutely right! A meteorite of that magnitude may have been responsible for the creation of the moon during Earth, and the solar systems infancy. However in the last 100 million years , or so there were much smaller impacts. As you mentioned the Comet, or Asteroid that impacted the Yucatan Peninsula 65 Million years ago was responsible for the extinction of the Dinosaurs. 85% of the Dinos actually succumbed to starvation from the effects of a Massive Globular Winter/Ice Age.Cmon 2012

  • Study in simple physics, and you'll understand. Gravity. Friction... yeah. Everybody knows that?

  • @LordDogbone

    yeah.. yeah

you have no idea what youre talking about

  • i was acting like a douchebag ok? i jsut got pist off for some reason so i decided 2 talk like tehy are stupid

  • @LLuuuK If you support the theory that the moon was created by a Mars-sized object colliding with early Earth than, yes, it was hit by an object this size before, but billions of years ago.

  • @sanbsball44

hm, yeah, you're probably right...but I have no idea what size an object would have needed to break the moon out of the earth, and this was way before anything alive was on this planet =)...as you said...billions of years ago...it was probably very short after the big bang (relatively)...I read about 30-50 million years after the big bang...ie. 4.x billion years...and I'm really not sure about this theory...too far away to be sure...like the rest of the discussion here =)

  • If you read the bible it doesn't say what year.

  • pwned

  • I guess you could survive with a shelter made out of concrete or something like that

  • maybe but what are you doing after you survived?? first it gets hot (very hot =D), then a rain of little to medium meteors rains on the earth surface, then the athmosphere cools down drastically because of the dust in it...because of that all plants die and you don't have any food, then it gets colder (very cold) and you live in a new ice age for the next couple of 100 years (maybe more??)...I think dying is the better option =)
