  • the french are such cowards

  • Excellent documentary. Sounds like Chef Saunders is cookin'!! :) Thanks for posting!

  • It's so interesting to see what WWI was like in 1914, and then to see what it was like in 1918. It is almost as though they were two completely different wars. I suppose that's why this war interests me so much.

  • thanks

  • once again the french continues to show their cowardness

  • Cat meow at 6:52

  • The strenght of flemish nationalists and the tension between flemings and walloons clearly shows there is no such thing as ``the belgian people``. Those soldiers sacrificed their live for nothing worthwhile.

  • Thanks for putting this on YTube. Mark-Andre

  • I can't thank you enough for uploading and sharing this brilliant documentary series. I'm sure you can guess by my comments on the earlier installments. Most likely, I'll be up all night watching everything. This is what makes Youtube and the internet so great!

  • thanks for the docu, man

  • Von Moltke did not adhere to the Schleiffen plan as he did not attack through the Netherlands. Whether it would have been successful if he did, i am not sure. Kudos to the Belgian army for a spirited defense of their country.

  • Also Moltke decreased the number of troops necessary for the original Schlieffen Plan. I´m also not sure if he were successfull if he hadn´t did so, because the Belgians and also the British did very well in the first battles. As a German and a soldier I´m dissapointed about the atrocities shown here.

  • @ThePretorian72 it would have saved millions of Germans,English and French if the Schlieffen Plan had been successful, because there would not have been a Western front.

    I wish it had succeded.

  • It would have been a total disaster for France and Russia if it had succeeded because Germany was planning on annexing large parts of Northern france from Verdun to Calais....they would have charged France another huge indemnity like the one in 1871...and they would have taken much of the French colonies...they also wanted ports on the English channel in Belgium to combat England...

  • Are you stupid? You clearly don't live here.

You are probably English or Canadian.

The germans would have pushed so far that they would want hole europe.

(including England; they btw always wanted England because nobody ever succeded to capture england)

  • @BrugesFan23 you are lied to in your history books, history is written by the winners, they make you believe that gemany is evil because it suits them, actually you would make good cannon fodder because you believe the propaganda they put in your head, so go and die for 'rich people' you slave.

  • 1) As this is WW I, the people of Germany had less to do with this and are quite innocent. But Germany would have grabbed every oppurtunity to make war. War against France in particulary, because they want revenge.

    2) I AM one of the rich people :D haha

    3) I believe what i want, just as you probably believe in "buddha"

  • @BrugesFan23 germany didn't want revenge against france, france wanted war against germany for the loss of 1971.

plus thanks for making my point for me.

you have taught me more about people.

  • @890buddha not really. wilhelm wrote in a memorandum it is now or never. and there are conyectural proof that germany planned the war since 1912

  • @stradhex All countries had been planning for war for a long time since then. All had their plans for war (that never fully materialized due to a number of problems and lack of foresight).

  • @Hotshotter3000 yes you are right it was their last shot at destroying what was gain in the french revolution. i agree with you. but germany was the more belicose nation.

  • Yes from 90%, he used 60% of the german soldiers for the Schlieffen plan.

He thought he needed more soldiers for the east front.

  • @villanovakid84 you have to advance through belgium to get into northern france territory regardlessly

  • @AchidMelch Yes and No, You would need to cut through Belgium to get to northwest France and the coast which was the goal of the German general staff, but, you could also advance into northeastern France by attacking directly into France and thus bypassing Belgium. Nevertheless, you have a valid point.

  • @villanovakid84 The Plan did not include the Netherlands. That would have been a waste as the Netherlands does not lead into France, Belgium does.

  • @MrShaneVicious The original plan devised by Von Schleiffen did plan a German attack through the Netherlands. Remember, it was a strong right flank attack that was to capture the ports to inhibit British reinforcements. Von Moltke altered the original plan in and removed the attack through the Netherlands. You are right in that the Netherlands does not lead into France. I don't think it would have worked anyway.

  • This documentary series is the best it explains everything in details, I will be sharing it with my friends thanks.

  • @carmelo1966 ALL THE POLITICS IS BS....THE BRITISH ROYALTY STARTED WW1 TO MAKE ENEMIES OF AMERICANS...RUSSIANS AND GERMANS...SEE..'1932:THE TRUE HISTORY OF AMERICA'...AND THE JEWISH OWNED MEDIA BROUGHT IN AMERICA FOR BEING PROMISED PALISTINE THRU THE BALFOR AGREEMENT...

  • @treon123456 are u dumb ? The UK did not t WW1. Are you that much of an Anti-Semite that you ignore FACTS.
