the 1921 thompson was born before the m1928 thompson, the difference is, is that the 1921 has a foregrip at front. They gave the gun a lil name called the Chicagotypewriter. The m1928 is a military version of this gun. The front foregrip is replaced with a different grip, performance wise, i think their almost the same but i think that the 1928 thompson is upgraded performance wise. The 1921 thompson was used for gangster mobs, while the m1928 was used by military personals. Hoped this helped!!!

airsoftpanda is right... However, the main difference between the M1921 and the M1928 is that the '28 had a heavier bolt, resulting in a slower rate of fire. The M1928 was made in both "Gangster" and standard military variants (called M1928A1). Also, the M1921 had a highly polished blue finish, while the M1928 was more of a matte-blued finish (or matte black paint).

Ho scoperto che la Cybergun ha inserito nel catalogo 2009-2010 la versione elettrica di questo modello, il M1928... Insieme ad altre repliche abbastanza succulente.

Speriamo in bene... io ho l'M1A1 Cybergun ed non è male: costa meno di metà del Marui e pur non essendo di pari qualità (un pò meno raffica e hop-up scadente, da cambiare subito) fa un ottimo lavoro.
