NO CLASS. All he did was make excuses. AP State is severly under rated. They are back 2 back national champs in their division and have won more games in a row than any team in the nation. *Penalites had almost nothing to do with it, Lloyd; ESPN's disdain for ASU is just sickening. The commentators are biased; every analysis/excuse has said that it was poor defense (and perhaps it was), and denigrating the Mountaineer program, "No offense to App State," etc. Call the game fairly ESPN.

When Boise State beat Oklahoma last year, it really opened the door for lesser teams to start believing that they can beat the established powerhouses.
However, do not think this win was a fluke. Appalachian State has a great football team. You do not win two I-AA championships by having no skills. They are well coached, have great speed, and obviously were better prepared for this game than Michigan was.

NO CLASS. All he did was make excuses. AP State is severly under rated. They are back 2 back national champs in their division and have won more games in a row than any team in the nation. The media needs to give them their due respect and that ass needs to man up and say he got his ass handed to him by a better team.

*Penalites had almost nothing to do with it, Lloyd; ESPN's disdain for ASU is just sickening. The commentators are biased; every analysis/excuse has said that it was poor defense (and perhaps it was), and denigrating the Mountaineer program, "No offense to App State," etc. Call the game fairly ESPN.

Now, while this was funny happening to UM....it does really raise concerns for me about the Big Ten....I mean, a Div 1-AA team just gutted those guys....and Bucky's D looked pretty soft against Washington State too....Man, the Big Ten really needs to change their football philosophies and go for more athletic, speedy players like they have down there in the SEC..

When Boise State beat Oklahoma last year, it really opened the door for lesser teams to start believing that they can beat the established powerhouses.
However, do not think this win was a fluke. Appalachian State has a great football team. You do not win two I-AA championships by having no skills. They are well coached, have great speed, and obviously were better prepared for this game than Michigan was.

This coach is full of crap. App state had just as many turnovers and penalties. They also missed great touchdown opportunities. Just admit it..... App State played better and if you went by skill during the game, App State was the better team. Go Appalachian Mountaineers!

I'll tell you all something! I know that, when Lloyd Carr leaves, Michigan wants to keep it in the family. If they do that, Ron English would probably get the job. However, I think it is a bigger risk now than ever before. Not only does English have no head coaching experience, but the defense hasn't looked well-coached recently. Anyone agree?
