Yeah agree, 500 horse in a car that size would just seem intense. Even the cayenne turbos do and they are twice the curb weight ... This one doesn't do it for me ... Bummer, the mpg is cool and need a commuter
Forget all the Diff mods etc, just learn about correct lines, gears, point of braking and effective acceleration and you'll be able to make much quicker progress and at the same time not pose a liability to yourself and other road users. Happy motoring.
Why not hit a nice highway, where you can open it up and not have to worry about two way traffic or who knows what else jumping out in front of you. Reckless IMO.
@madogblue It has a tortion based Diff from Quaife. I also have a 997tt, I would not have caught the rear engine swinging out like that. It is not too much power for the chassis. The road was damp and it was only about 38 degrees.
Sounds fantastic. Did you have to upgrade the transmission to cope with extra power, its quite a big increase over stock wonder what the tolerances are? I see its not very forgiving if you put the power on early, I'm guessing its generating a shit load of torque?

Great car. Now, invest in some driving lessons at Porsche Experience.

Too much power for the chassis possibly based on when you lost it there. My 996 Turbo never has that issue. Do you have limited slip?

@Wazool I also have a Cayman S and it can handle another 200-300hp. Cold wet day on summer tires? How does the PSM work with the Turbo kit?

@madogblue
My guess is that the car is not shod with winter tyres. Sub 7 Centigrade the rubber hardens up and grip is lost.

Awesome save at 2:00. Usually somebody with a 520hp Cayman would have put that in the tree...

umm whats with the sound? did you layover another audio?
mero40k 2 years ago
No, this is a catless race header and no muffler. Below 3,000rpm it sounds no different than a Cayman with sport exhaust, above though it screams ...
