@themeaningoflife38 That is not what John Marshall said. He provided absolutely NO evidence but twice made comments suggesting "for all I know" the Secret Service "could" have been involved. Pressed, he was unable to provide anything more than conjecture and his own personal "hunch."

While interviewed because of his position with the agency in Florida at the time of the assassination, his hunches were deamed to be without merit.

@oldmac1 Maybe because of the hotel room full of cubans and rifles in chicago or the dynamite found along the motorcade route in miami.Even after finding dynamite along the President's route the Secret Service used that same route the next day.

If any of these guys were really honest, they'd say why their boss, Emory Roberts told them to stand down, once while leaving Love Field airport and then in the follow up cars pulling back just before the shooting. Not to mention, the last minute change in the route, and why they allowed the FBI to take over afterwards when it was out of their jurisdiction, and how several agents were violating another protocol by boozing the previous evening???

@IrishStorm1 Untrue Untrue. The follow up car was less than five feet behind the limo at the time of the shooting. Emory Roberts DID NOT "call off" agents at Love Field. The agent in the infamous video seen shrugging his shoulders is Don Lawton, who was not assigned to the motorcade, but to stay AT Love Field. In 1961, the U.S. Secret Service was not authorized to investigate the murder of a president. Lastly, there was no protocol in 61 that banned agents from drinking off duty. NONE wre drunk.
