What type of whistle is on this engine? It sounds like N&W 611.

@PereMarquette1223 Yes the N&W 611 whistle was on the Shay near the end before it was taking out of service .  I'm pretty sure that was the 611's whistle.

Are there any plans to restore any steam locomotives at the NCTM?

It is sitting on display waiting for the BC&G #4's (formerly SOU #604) overhaul to be finished before work will start on the #1925.

Yes they were about shot, but the shop crew didn't know it until they removed the steam dome lid. The incorrect water treatment was the cause.
