Very Nice. Nice mix. I love how the song progressed.
Check put my song on my hammer663tube channel. Its my first creation using Cakewalks Music creator 5 software. Its a different style of music from yours. hope you like it...
quality stuff. I am just learning reason and trying to figure out how to rewire reason 4 and Sonar 8. I seem to be having some issues but I should be close. I am sure it is something I am doing wrong. MiDi newb here. Good stuff. I had hoped to hear more of you work. Keep it up
There's a couple of ways of using them together. The first thing I do is open Reason within the synth rack of Sonar.
Then load your synths in reason and mess with the sounds as normal. I would rename the synths so you have things like 'Funky Lead' and 'Swoosh pad' etc. instead of Malstrom1, Malstrom 2.
This makes it easier to find your instrument within Sonar.
Insert a midi track in Sonar.
In the midi in drop down (I), choose your midi keyboard.
Now when you play your keyboard, it should trigger the synth in Reason and you should hear the sound back through the Sonar audio channel you set up.
It sounds complicated but after a bit of experimenting it becomes easy. I hope this helps.
I will be posting again soon. I've spent most of the year saving for new instruments and learning them. Videos with M3,V synth GT, Triton, Radias and V-Drums coming soon.
I have a pcr-800 xD too bad I can't compose for shit if compared to you lol ... very awesome song, not necessarily something I would listen to but it's obvious that you put some effort into making it to say the least... very good job :)

Yes. In z3ta Its Arp117 set to 1 octave with a sync value of 4.
I renamed the patch but Ive just had a look and i've got it saved under bank E patch number 112.
Maybe its just a slightly tweaked version of the original but I can't be sure.
Thanks for the comment. I'm off to your channel now!

@dellamatrix Is it the truepiano thing you used? I haven't got sonar yet but after this.. wow :)

@MrJackanthony
Nope. This is the Alien Piano patch on Dimension Pro which is shipped with Sonar. True Pianos is cool, though I only have the LE edition of that.

continued...
In your Midi out drop down (O) choose Reason.
If you click on the channel drop down (CH) you should see the synths you renamed here.
This is why I rename everything.Instead of selecting a synth, you just see the name of the sounds you made.
When you play your keyboard it should trigger the sound in Reason.(note on L.E.D. should flash on the Reason synth).
Insert an audio track in Sonar.
In the input dropdown select Reason. to be continued...

Its easier to select Reason mix L/R stereo.
Now when you play your keyboard, it should trigger the synth in Reason and you should hear the sound back through the Sonar audio channel you set up.

I liked it!! I really loved the beat. Do you like the Sonar software?? And what version do you have?
MTJMusic 2 years ago
Thanks buddy! Ive been using Sonar since version 6. I have 8 Producer now.
I only have Reason 2 though but I just love stacking subs and Malstroms and it re-wires really well with sonar.
