  • Great film, using black and white really captures the creepiness better than using colour!

  • Alvin Schwartz did an adaptation of this story for his book, "More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark"...

  • A very interesting film Time well spent.

  • Amazing production. Kudos

  • and for fucks sake that last part was unnecessary ):

  • @xelnos21 I totally agree with you on that one! I hate those damn things when they pop up and give you a heart attack!

  • Why am i watching this? ):

  • only real question is why he didn't use his authority when he thought she was attack.

  • Loved it!

  • Great show. Great preacher dude!:D

Preacher didnt' back down, now thats a real preacher:D!

    thanx for the upload.

  • @Troopgirl1 Amen to that. If that was Joel Osteen, he would have ran and never went back to that house lol but then again, Osteen is not a real preacher anyway.

  • Pretty good but I don't know how an electric lamp could work in an old abandoned house. Who pays to keep the electric on?

And the ending is a but silly too. Was that last flash really necessary?

  • @westwingr when it comes to hauntings the spirit world doesnt need electricity. the supernatural and paranormal can create its own atmosphers through its energy.

I know, I lived it. more fun to watch than to experience.

  • @721rem.. in regards to the hopewell haunting..I have found that most comments on youtube are foolish..but your comment is true and honest..! for I have seen this myself, and I have lived it too..!

  • I wonder how big his shit bricks are.

  • (once confronted by this thing) i would have quickly discovered that i was the last of the JEDI'S and would have kicked some ass...do things that i didn't know i could do..!!...

  • 7:21 yes you'd hit it

  • RIP Poor lady.

  • If this is based on a true story, then this guy deserves a dozen medals for every single action he made throughout. Brilliant stuff! And very nicely filmed, with good atmosphere and several creepy moments.

  • pretty well done.....and spooky too.

  • Very well done for a low budget ghost story. Glad I watched it in the daytime!

  • This was the best!!!

  • Dude seriously what kind of preacher leaves his bible behind in a haunted house? Seems a bit obvious. This is good... it reminds me of a story I heard when I was younger...

  • i have to go change my drawers now LOL

  • Agreed, very well done, it had all of the element's of a good old fashioned ghost story, which was quite believable, and drew a person into it. Modern horror / ghost stories / films, for a good part, seem to lack what this film expounds upon, scariness you can taste. Four stars for this film, I hope it won some kind of award, it surely deserves one. Thanks for the great film.

  • There's a lot of holes in this story, but the film was fabulous! Very well done!

  • 7:22 scared the crap out of me!

  • Too bad the ghost has a shadow!

  • good for a 50's movie! The face popping out at the end was predictable, what ghost story doesn't have the star ghost giving one last scare?

  • sad story...:(

  • The part where he was in the cellar and you could just barely see the girl in the corner, I SHIT. MY. FUCKING. PANTS. O_O

  • Wow I am an avid Horror Movie watcher and I am very impressed with your short film.its was simple [needed no special effects to scare ] is was written well with narrative use is a great presentation. The use of grainy black and white perfect one of the best shorts I have ever watched.Scary with out gore..Bravo

  • that was pretty cool thanks for posting !!!

  • i was all alone when i started watching this....sure am glad someone came home when he did...i was getting spooked. well done...dont get scared often.

  • That's what I call a ghost story! Well done movie. Great pacing, Hair raising music, good effects, Spooky as can be!

  • GREAT!I do not get scared watching horror movies but as for this one-I am glad it is still the daylight;-)

  • Good special effects and sound effects. The background music was brilliant. I had to turn the sound off once thinking I was hearing something from within my house lol. It ran a little slow for my taste but all in all it was done well. Psychological terror is always better than blood and guts.

  • Loved it! Thank you for posting.

  • weird in a interesting sort of way......

  • holy fuck I shit my pants

  • @TheMeanSgtPlaysPiano me too!!

  • @TheMeanSgtPlaysPiano Me too hun!! Especially the ending.. when the face showed up on the screen..LOL

  • 7:22 I was sort of expecting that when I watched it @ home & it still got me; nowhere near as much as that first time. Anyone with a weak heart should not watch this...seriously!

  • Wow! That was really well done!

  • Liked the story , thanks for posting :p !!

  • i dont scare easily and that was the creepiest film ive ever seen

  • this was a really sad i wanted the ghost to be in peace

  • wow that was creepy thanx

  • I read similar true British story.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed these videos. I think mostly because I remember hearing a ghost story similar to this growing up in Kentucky, and retelling it myself once or twice. Perhaps not the greatest nostalgic moment, but it was very entertaining.
