I don't like Trivium, not because they're not talented (which they are) but because they think they're the next Metallica. Their old albums have more passion than The Crusade, but have too much screaming and over-the-top noisy section for a casual listen. The Crusade, on the other hand, is barely half the passion and an obvious attempt to recreate Metallica's thrash with progrock influences.

Trivium re awesome in my opinion, if you dont like it, you shouldnt have watched that video. Vai started playing guitar with 8 years, he has to be good, as well as the guitarist from dream theater, dont know his name. But Heafy, Corey n Gregolleto are good anyway and the music which jumped out of their mind is phantastic. Not many people can play as virtuos on the guitar like they do and Triviums Drummer is 1 of the fastest just listen to tracks like Falling to Grey, Thread the floods or Sworn.

Trivium re awesome in my opinion, if you dont like it, you shouldnt have watched that video. Vai started playing guitar with 8 years, he has to be good, as well as the guitarist from dream theater, dont know his name. But Heafy, Corey n Gregolleto are good anyway and the music which jumped out of their mind is phantastic. Not many people can play as virtuos on the guitar like they do and Triviums Drummer is 1 of the fastest just listen to tracks like Falling to Grey, Thread the floods or Sworn.

Trivium aint a bad band ON CD, but live they're feckin awful..
and the reason Matt Heafy stops singing is because he CAN'T sing.. They must have spent ages in the studio just to make him listenable... they're guitars playing isnt great either, they're ripping everyone else off, and there are a LOT of mistakes if you listen, for instance, while it IS quick, the solo in this is crap.
btw ive seen them live twice so anyone that decides to tell me im talkin out my ass.. go take a jump

i might let you say they are progressive metal at the most but they are definately not even close to the metal that trivum play also i said i never said they were the best out of any genre i said they were one of the best out of the metalcore and i said that there guitar playing was hard to touch but not impossible to beat i agree that petrucci and a lot of other guitarist are better but for everyone thta is better there is about fifty that are worse

Apparently you lack any intellgence of what ACTUAL metal is. They are far below sub-par. Infact the blow so badly they almost make me want to hate them more then slipknot. What makes them suck is almost sounding like metallica, Really bad knock off. His voice sucks as well.
