Nice site that exposes the nwo

  • Computers have revolutionized everything.

  • i cant live a day without pc

  • The 21% that have never searched for information on the internet doesn't surprise me. Not all the elderly population has braced the new technology and I don't blame them. Also there are millions of people in this world who are a little more worried about where their next meal will come from or where they are going to sleep tonight--and I don't buy the library excuse. If I am homeless and starving, researching on the internet is the last thing on my mind.

  • I could live without internet easy

  • Throughout the whole video he's thinking "What would my life be like without ie"

Thats why he was struggling to speak well and getting confused lol

  • Wow, I think he watched a bit too much Will Shatner before doing this one lol.

  • once you get the internet connection that is it you can not live without it. if you never owned one you will be ok but will want it. . but when you get it your self you will get no time and lose connection with the outer world. i haven't watched t.v in months. you just dont get time. its killing us and draining our life.

  • No I'd kill myself without the Internet...

  • Whoa those statistics are true!? Where I'm from, you can't go past the 8th grade without creating a document on the computer. I'm so glad they thought me how to type, I can't live without the computer! And I rely on the internet for almost too much information. Libraries are old school. :P

  • Oh... Wow ... Your talking slower now!

  • i am a computer mwhaaaa

  • i cant lived even a day without computer =.= i would die...

  • me too.........

  • I could NOT live without internet, it was down for 23 days this month! Because we moved house and i was sitting there with withdrawl symptoms, it was terrible. But i did see the sunlight for the first time in 2 years! I started to smoke at first, kind of like a vampire :P (Joke, lol.)

  • I think I could live without internet, but it wouldn't be as convenient to keep in touch with everyone, acquiring stuff for school.. etc.

  • Maybe there should be a not-for-profit organization that pays for technology for those who cannot afford it. One of my neighbors are struggling and cannot afford the connection, let alone a new computer that is compatible with the internet.

The kids do go to school, so it's not like they're completely without.

  • well, chris, someone my mum sits next to in church who is 90 years old has just bought herself a new computer, she loves surfing the web & is quite experienced at doing so. I love it when older generations of people know how to use computers just as well as the average user today.

  • 98% of the UK, some indirectly (i.e. through a family member)

  • Well chris. i think that the generation like my grandpa, are not that interrested in the internet and Pc stuff.

but our generation and the ones that are comning has the Internet and pc like a aprt of their life already.

when my internet doesn't work when the Service provider has a problem. I become so paranoid that i just need to get out of home go somwhere to distract myself.

it is more then just internet it has become a part of your every day life.

  • well I use MSN every day.... the internet and youtube every day... CS 1.6 every day... (allmost).... well HELL NO! xD

  • 'DMM" WHY MOST BE KICKED ?

  • including that 1

    lol i think

  • did u know that 57% of all statistics are made up on the spot

  • that one was probly made up

  • yea i made it up on the spot lol

  • Just to be literal they study things hard because they get government grants in studying these things and the longer they can drag it on the more money they can drain from the government.

  • The problem is the telephone companies limiting the speeds and not making enough effort in rural areas. It is not commercially viable, which is why I think the government should take control providing high speed access to everyone bringing everyone into the 21st century and letting businesses remain competitive with the rest of the world.

  • If the Government has complete control over the internet, *they* can start to limit what is put onto the internet.

That said, I wouldn't mind having public wi-fi terminals in public areas. Laptops are becoming inexpensive. Libraries, schools, government buildings, etc, etc. Anyone who uses the government buildings for any reason (like getting unemployment) can have access.

For those who cannot afford a computer, there cold be a few computers for public use as well.

  • it's like sitting in front of a computer without internet. you try to open internet explorer but it says the page cannot be found. i feel really 'claustrophobic' when that happens. i just feel really disconnected.

  • i could live without email but i could not live without the web!

  • =O!

  • I could not live without email or MSN. Sometimes I'm talking to the same person on MSN as I'm writing an email to.

Then I get a reply on email and am still talking to the same person on MSN on a completly different topic.

  • Nah i could never live with out my email i have 4 emails coming threw my personal email box.. and for family hotel we always send out docs to staff. so nah with out email i would be stuffed.

    Gareth{XP}

  • should i buy an ipod touch now?

  • i could live without the web, but i wouldnt want to, nor would i enjoy life as much.

  • lol free Dial-up lol

  • I believe email is the backbone of my internet life. If it wasn't for that i would never know what's going on on youtube, I would never know if i got any messages from second life, I would never know if a purchase was made to my paypal, and i would feel like I'm the only one on the internet. :P

  • I rarely check any of my email accounts.

They're 80% spam anyway, whether it's because they were used in domain registration and harvested from there or just getting buried in responses since some spammer's using the address as a reply-to.

    Email's just a junk-mail conduit.

  • Why don't you have a Junk email address for those crappy websites and a good email address for personal friends and trusted sorces?

  • Percentage of those who use internet? 40% -50% ?

  • Pay for water....hope they don't do that in Ireland. We get it for free.

  • Think what an chaos it would be if the internet would stop working... Something similar like in the South Park. :P

  • I could live without them but i wouldn't enjoy my life as much : )

  • BTW I think you're wrong about the mobile vs. 'big screen' internet. I think it will be both. Broadcast TV will go away in favor of nitch stuff (like youtube... longtail ya know?) that can only be enabled by internet. Mobile has it's place, buy you only use it because you don't have the superior I/O available. And video, NOBODY wants to watch it on a small screen (you do? seriously? LOL)

  • shut the fuck up

  • We are internet laggards (compared to may other nations) because we are still blinded by 'free-market' dogma that resists structuring of markets. Never mind ARPANET was created by goverment employees. Whaco libertarians will never, ever, ever admit that central planning has it's place.

  • Thats like asking in this era, would you prefer to masturbate or get laid, lol.

  • hey kris can i have one of those stickers u got on ur laptop =] =] plz lol :D

  • i shop online, phone calls, email, chat, watch tv, and just about everythign you can do with a computer. ive eliminated a house phone and cable plus wasting time gas and so on. so yeah im saving big time with the internet. but cell phone bill kilss me. everybody should use the net more. yourl be surprized on how much you really save,do and can learn. i would die if i didnt have the net! peace. gregg

  • i Cant live without net or email :)

  • I have recently started using ubuntu just to learn Linux I think with all the free software out there that brings the cost of a PC/LTOP down a lot it has a way to go but in time it will be goodbye to MS I think the fear factor is media and tech programs making things seem harder than they are.

  • what site is that?

  • i have a question about ustream or like any type of streaming website! Does streaming a live show slow down your computer? I really want to know because I might get a new computer and I don't want to slow down my new computer by streaming a webcast! Please answer me! I would really like to know!!!

    Thanks

P.S. If I do get a new computer it will probably be an Apple Macbook Pro (But i don't know if that has an effect on anything

    Thanks

  • without the web?mmm,it would be like, back to medieval times.lol......

  • I can live without E-mail's No problem.. Internet, I use like 60-70% of my day for research and video projects, so I couldn't do without web access.

  • Your on a video roll today man like every 2 hours a new video. Dang thats alot for one day but it does get boring around here so i watch alot of the videos. And i think like 95 percent. But it doesnt show that.

  • 70%

  • It should be free. I mean who the crap uses dial up anymore, except low income families, $10 a month is nothing at all so yeah i fell you.

  • My Internet went down at work for a year. Yeah I can live with out Internet but it was annoying.

  • water and internet access are the same...can't live without it

  • right now i could not, too many group tasks require email.

  • lol i remember we had aol dial up on the family computer.

    hahaa.

    it was the best.

  • I'll tell you what stops people from using computers more...........Microsoft WIndows!!! My parents hate messing w/ the computer, b/c of PC complications that shared them off!

Macs are the best. Even the Mac Mini would be better than a Dell or HP etc.

  • aww man please dont start MAC vs pc dude, we all know whats better but just dont lol

  • I cannot live without the Internet! Especially IM and the web!!!

  • i don't need the net to be alive, but the net is my primary mode of entertainment, it's a great tool, and its a great way to communicate with business colleagues, friends, family, etc..so it's almost a necessity for me to have the net to get anything done.

  • I cant imagine how it was in the 50s with no internet.

  • I can barely last a weekend without a computer...

  • The answer to your question is simple. Our parents and grandparents are that 20%, and living longer. With the postage stamps are rising in price that 20% is already lowering.

  • if there was no interent, everyone would b retarted!and the world would b slower!!

  • Well... 40% maybe less... Maybe 90% of the people that have a computer, internet access, and they use it at least an hour a day.

Could I live without email or the web? Literally, yes. But I would be bored of my fiddlesticking mind.

  • i agree i need my internet for shopping and learning on all part so i dropped my landline to get a magic jack and so i siphon off the money to pay for broadband service i am a have not but the internet is a lifesaver to me sorry

  • Well, actually we are not at the point yet, but i think in maybe 5 or 10 years internet will be something that you get for nearly free.

I even see now that estate sellers in germany often write down how much bandwith you can access on the particular apartment ect.

    Internet 4 Free!!!

  • i'd find it really hard to organise things. but i could manage without it. if people didn't use mobile phones... then that would be impossible.

especialy texts. it's really handy to send quick bits of info to a mailin list

  • 80%

  • i was bor in the computer age and im going to stay in the pc age

  • I'm old and spent time with my grandparents.

I remember being places with no television reception and just a few AM radio stations.

Sometimes I think people would be better off, but there're definitely conveniences to instant access.

  • 65%

  • some people.. including young.. dont give a crap about computers.. theyre too interested in going out partying.

  • noooo..it could be like that episode of soulth park where the internet goes down...

  • i couldn't

  • i cannot live when my internet goes down

  • if you think about it, if we did not have the internet we would not be able to watch tv,find about what is happening in the world (news)...etc

  • Could you Live Without Email or the Web?

    Yes.

  • absoluty 100% hehehe, why? cuz its my bussiness, website design, and well im pretty sure i cant live with it =] i wont work in any other job, lol

  • you just had to say the f-word did ya?

  • Cool vid, Chris. I didn't completely watched it (like the first 15 seconds), but I'll check in later. Still a good point; you think almost everyone in America has e-mail or just the internet, but as you can see... it's not true. Weird.

  • Good video

  • I did survive for a week without a computer and cellphone back in July of 2007 (Habitat for Humanity). It was pretty frustrating at the beginning, but I got used to it. :)

Now, if the Internet shut down FOREVER, than HELL NO! :D

  • wow if you cannot live without email or the web, your really sad

  • you couldnt because almost everything revolves around these survices....

  • Yes! Internet is very useful :) Like you can save gas and tax too by buying elec stuff online instead of local stores :) Oh and most of the times its cheaper online then in stores hehe.

  • I could not live without email.

  • i was thinking this earlier today

  • I only know one person who doesn't go online.

That's my grandma, but she asks my aunt every now and then to look online for her.

  • Communist.

  • No, i need the internet!

  • If the internet would die. I probably would have to make sure I have enough games that i could play online that don't get repetitive with out multiplayer online play. But that is wishful thinking but i would definitely have to make sure i have had at least 80% of the music i like to the day the internet died.

  • if the web ever dies il have to shoot my self

  • you don't need the inter net aslong as you have a phone and a t,v for the news

  • no!

  • I know for a fact that it would be difficult for me to live without Email and the Internet. We depend heavily on this service and what would be the point of having a computer if we don't have the Internet?

  • government should give out cheap and fast internet to everyone.

  • i wish they would, but thats never going to happen. Its all about making money, giving it away cheaply would lose companies money. Its a sad truth.

  • it addicting

  • Many people never really were required to use the internet. Throughout the time I was in Jr. High, we couldn't use internet sources, but that quickly changed in high school. Now being in college, you, in most cases, who are REQUIRED to use some form of internet resource. As the many facets of someone's life becomes digital, they will follow. The best example is to look at the Video game industry. MANY more people are now on the machine thanks to Nintendo making it "mainstream".

  • it so weird if u dont hav interent accsess my m8 doesnt hav it he hasent even ever owned a computer

  • Depends, if I'm in the middle of a Zombie outbreak, yeah I could anything else, no, if the internet goes out I feel 'Cut off' From the world

  • yum

  • Some people don't want a computer for whatever reasons. Weather they don't want to learn or they don't want to be tempted or even because they think it will cost a lot of money.

  • I Can... But It Wouldnt Be long....

  • there are lots of poor people who can barely get food, or GAS to get to work. The least of their concern is having a computer, let alone internet.

    drake

  • Web is my life. I couldn't live without it.

  • I can live without e-mail...but internet is going a bit too far.

  • yes I'm sure I could live without the web. it takes away from my time i could be doing something more important with.

  • yay 8th comment AGAIN

  • not really though

  • I could live, but i would be lacking a great source of knowledge

  • lol

  • I could live without email or the web, but my life would be miserable.

  • I concur. You took the words right out of my mouth. LoL ;P

  • I Cant Live Without Email or Web!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol -3
