  • Mf'in two minutes good-ass fingerstyle shit

  • Something about this song just makes me want to go to the drug store, take out money from the ATM, and buy a new baseball bat.

  • @freakingretard I know EXACTLY what you mean. (not really)

  • Have a listen to his advanced hot rags blues and fiddles tunes instructional CD s just the playing - I defy anyone on the planet to recreate that kind of playing or sound - just incredible - the way it swings and he aint hangin about : )

  • Stefan Grossman for Präsident, i will vote him and Kicking Mule Records absolut very good

  • Don't forget this is Dave Laibman's arrangement, more or less. Credit where credit's due.

  • Holy jesus this guy is good

  • The Beatles' "When I'm 64" and EarthBound's "Buy Something Will Ya/Humoresque Of A Little Dog" definitely got inspired by this.

  • At one time I could play this cleaner than Stefan - that happened exactly once, at a lesson, around the time this was recorded. Whew....Stefan is not only the most prolific ragtime guitarist ever, he is one of the sweetest people on the planet.

  • play the rag...

  • I watched him play this in the north of England when he was about this age. I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

  • there's a guy in New Jersey I buy lessons from that looks like he could be this dudes grampa.

  • You look so young ,,, yet years later you still give us joy with your lessons ... thank you you old bugger ,,, from another old bugger ...

  • Dear Francis - I couldn't have put it any better!!! A right royal finger twister and ........he damn well talks through it too. Saw him back in the 70's in Manchester and still a fan. Happy plucking - keep at it!!

  • This f*cking rag is giving me finger-aches, but Stefan does it easy :/

  • Thanks for this awesome video!! Ive been trying to figure this one out for years. It's like a lesson from the man himself.

  • Absolutly great. In the late seventiens i was with me father in "heidelberg" in a music shop.. i say to him.. papa i will this music book.... than we go home.. and i do this book in my tresor.

  • oh la la! ..ho cercato questo video per almeno un decennio e ora ...sono davvero felice di averlo trovato (l'ho suonato finora con un metronomo troppo basso, questa è la giusta velocità...) Fantastico Mr Grossman !

  • That guitar must be an original Gibson Advanced Jumbo from the 30s I presume. I have a Montana Gibson reissue of the same model. They are sweet, with the coolest are deco inlays ever. Great for any kind of traditional sound.

  • i am learning this -- its tough.

  • Thanks for this amazing video.
