Got these shoes last week in the mail when i was skating at my buddies house. Bombed a hill and got speed wobble goign 35-40 mph and I ended up cracking my skull, getting blood in my brain, getting road rash on the side of my body , almost broke my jaw, and bled from behind my eardrum. I actually rolled my ankle in the Hsu's just yesterday. :( Mid-tops do offer the protection you need, but not enough and they slightly take away from the flickability that you need as well.
