We are the same body as the WeAreSurreal account that posted a reply. Different account for personal videos versus these which we see as educational and/or self expression.

In our system (the one represented in the video) we have 16. We did not post the names of all the alters in the video simply because we were not aware of them at the time.

But yeah, to answer your question, our system represented in the video has 16 alters that we know of.

Hey I don't know who to talk to this about but I have 1 split, other, alter or whatever you wanna call it. Anyways I have been trying HARD to bring him back out for a while and I cannot. The other day he came out when I woke up one day and yelled at my friend but then he was gone. He and I have had a chat or two but I cannot bring him out he only brings himself out on occasion PLEASE if anybody knows how to bring him out message me a.s.a.p

Hahaha...You're going to get yourself and everyone around you hurt if you anger him...Let it be his decision when he decides to take control. If you make him mad, he won't protect you anymore....

Though, you could always listen to music that he likes...Making it the only thing you know and hear...That works for us when some are reluctant to come out.

ever since that us of tara show went on the air ive been wondering how realistic the show really is but i only got around to researching it today... but one question that hasnt been answered of mine yet is when one of your alters come out do they have their own clothes to wear and etc? that might be a stupid question but i just wanted to know i guess how far into transitioning they go into like the alters on the show... sorry lol

what does it mean to have a "protector"?

I got this from a website:

"Think about DID from a childs perspective. The point of having alter parts is to protect the child from being harmed. While the child flees the body through dissociation, she leaves behind a protector part to fight back and provide the child with the illusion of safety."

To put it simply, it's an alter state that protects other alters who are too fearful to protect themselves. Chris is a protector of my child parts. ONLY the child parts. He is very agressive.

That's a question that tears at the logic and intuitive sides of my brain. Logically I know that my mind created them. But from what I experience by having them around and living with them... they feel more alive than alot of people I've met. More of their own seperate beings.

So I don't know what to beleive.

I ask because I am very curious about this and always have been. I've heard of eye color changing when a new 'personality' takes over. I've heard they affect electronics as well. As someone that studies spirits I can't help but wonder if they come in to help another soul who is in a situation that one soul alone can't handle. I hope you are having a good day!

I've DID and my eyecolor did change one time from greyblue to a very very bright blue and back when that person dissappeared again. Also one of mine doesn't need glasses, while I had -8. Now several are integrated and I've -5. Many DID people I know tell their eyesight switch with the persons. And yes some of us do affect electronics. Some can't where watches, while they stop on her wrist en when she puts them away, they start running again. When I'm stressed my phone/computer/internet blocks.

Thanks so MUCH for your drawings! But about 7years ago, I had an alter appear who said she was 16 and wanted to draw some of the alters. (Personally, I had never picked up a pencil to draw anything...and can't!)"Ruth Anne" began drawing alters, many of whom I didn't even know about. (Others, I did.) SHE seems to "know" everyone in the system.

This process is like "getting to know ourselves" better.(But, I never KNEW that anyone else ever drew their own alters, too.)Thanks!

Yup, there's 13 of us in total. A Bakers Dozen. Inlcuding myself (the host/artist).

This is what I know through a drawing one of the kids (jake) drew of all of us. I counted them, and there were 13. I've been made aware of their names so as far as I know we are 13.
