  • Great riff, great song. When I first hear "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour I wanted to call the DJ and tell him to listen to this song first and see if Living Colour ripped it off. Still, Cult of Personality fucking rocks too (just a very similar guitary riff).

As a side-note, about 20 years ago the keyboardist for Crack the Sky served me dinner in Baltimore; he was our waiter.

  • Fucking amazing rift! good shit guys!

  • I wish someone would post the version from Live Sky.

  • The bassist kicks some ASS on this cut!!!

  • Just Rock There is nothing esle to say..

  • ach, mine got !

  • Oh man does this song kick some serious ass or what?!!!

  • Every album had something truly awesome on it.

  • yes it is a great song,,,,, i saw them play before boc in philly back in the 70's.... at the spectrum....and believe it or not john lennon was in the building to check them out too,,,,, i still have the album hangin up in my garage,,,one of my favorites of all time.........jack

  • I don't know why this song popped into my head after nearly thirty years of not hearing it. I'm glad it's here! It brings back great memories of playing Frisbee with my Air Force buddies with this album on the 10" reel to reel mix and the big speakers blasting out of the dorm room window in 1978 R. A. F. Woodbridge, U. K.

  • Great jam!!! Does anyone know if he was playing Simmons drums for this, sure sounds like it?? Thanx.

  • I had this on vinyl once upon at time....:) Thanks for posting this... :)

  • I read lots of these things about this band

and they must be posted by the band trying to promote

    themselves

Nothing particularly great about any of it and they

would have gotten laughed off of the stage as some

    flaky beatles-rip in the 70's

  • @yourunclehank1 Could not agree more, there is nothing special about this band from pittsburgh. The are average musicians at best.

  • Great song! I've always loved the super tight drums & bass of CTS. East Coast Favorite,I was originally turned on to them by a Floridian friend. What a shame that so many have been deprived of "the Sky" !

Check out their other song "Nulcear Apathy"- it deserves a listen

  • I absolutely love this song. I had not heard it as a kid, and only first heard it about two years ago. Ever since, I cannot listen to it only one time, but have to listen through several playings (this is my third here). It is so out there lyrically, with fantastic guitar riffs and progressions which anchor it to the great rock of its era.

Truly an underappreciated band and one of my favorites. Long live Crack The Sky!

  • Childhood favorite!

  • Thanks for this.....great song you only herd if you have the record.
