@powmful In case you hadn't noticed, the training isn't about that kind of firefight. If you actually were in that kind of fight, any training with your gun whatsoever is useless, you just call in air support. In the situations this training is actually designed for, it's very useful.

@dogabutila Hogwash. I served in the USMC and I have worked, talked to Force Recon, Recon, and they said no once shoots this way. Froce Recon Marines I talked to said that they have never had or would ever have training to teach them to shoot this way. The only reason anyone would use thumb over bore is for spraying and prayong. I have a respect for Coast Guard, but there no Force Recon. So stop sticking up for your boyfriend.

Kyle Lamb, Jerry Miculek, Mike Voigt, LAV, Kurt Miller, Eric Miller, Robby Johnson, Bruce Piatt, Todd Salmon, Taran Butler, Brian Searcy, Kyle Defoor etc use and teach this method. Guess what? They have far better creds then USMC training once upon a time.

@SpecJack15 They don't do that on a regular basis, they train like that if there arms were to ever get shot off or have to carry something. 10% of their training will be single handed weapon manipulation. It's actually not that hard to shoot a carbine one handed unless your a dumbass that decides to shoot on full auto all the time spraying liability shots everywhere trying to look cool!

US Army infantry's standard magazine capacity on their vest is 7 mag's that 210 rounds. You try firing that on full auto and you'll be out of ammo faster than the enemy. Green Berets train militia's to go on semi-auto with AK's. I know it's hard to break the habit thinking hollywood movies and COD are true but their not. Do you even own a full auto a AK-47?

They want precise shot placement, not 'spraying lead all over'. I wonder if the US military could somehow create a film and endorse it, then more people would not be fooled by untrue firefights.

@ludacrysonbykes You can set one up yourself... Viking Tactical makes one and you can add pouches or you can just get some bladetech pouches and or run them on a standard riggers belt. Or get some basic kydex mag pouches and mount them on a belt... That brand condor makes a molle belt but they are not really rigid... Tactical taylor make one a bit better then condor for about $40... Pouches are extra... Long story short $50-$200... I hope it helps... Lets all learn from each other. Joe Tactical
