  • fuck the haters, this sounds like Elvis resurrected on LSD.

I'd rather they changed than kept ploughing the same sound they had on Hell/Canada Songs

  • i hope when i have kids that i have a daughter

  • "Mwa mwa mwa its not spastic enough and they've crafted songs" get the fuck over it; - this is rocking!

  • This band is blowing my mind o.o

  • Hell Songs owns. Just sayin

  • great album, the vocals really DOES sound like dave yow, but that's totally a good thing!

  • @deathkampdrone I don't really hear a David Yow, but that's just me.

  • @evange03 I think it's more the actual sound of Lex' voice, not so much the style. For me it is, anyway. They're both among my favorite singers, and I don't think it sounds at all like Lex is ripping off Yow's style, so no sweat. Im just happy I got to hear this more "groovy" side of the band before the world came to an end.

  • shame they broke up... i loved this band for their dissonance like listening to webern on ten tons of cocaine. i like the new album but its not what i fell in love with... i guess in a way im relieved they are not together anymore i used to listen to dillinger escape plan a lot before they met mike patton and became such a faggy sounding band.

  • he sounds like a fucked up elvis. i love it though. not the same as the old stuff. different. but good.

  • This album fucking rocks despite what everyone is saying. It's sad that it caused the band to split, but if they have different artistic approaches to their music then so be it.

  • i dont care what anyone says about there new stuff sounding "tame" this song gives off so much raw energy. unlike anything ive ever heard.

  • Dude, the vocals are the fucking best part about this. I can't help but dance and sing along. Can somebody tell me where to find the lyrics at???

  • this record is awesome shit. too bad theyre not a band anymore. maybe its a good thing, next thing you know one of these assholes will be in a perfume ad for some fag shit

  • 0:55 - 1:20 Holy fuck! amazing!

  • @AveryDanger Nope you're right. The guitarist Nick wrote most of the music for the new album. He wanted to make it more approachable, more comprehensible if you will. This new direction caused a lot of "instability" in the band, with the result of the band splitting up. Alex (vocalist) and Jon (drummer) never really liked this new approach, they also mentioned that they'll continue creating the music they like so I'm stoked for a new music project with those two! Hopefully they'll start somethin

  • @SevereThroatCancer I guess it's not bad. It's just not Recorded Inside a Pyramid

  • @SevereThroatCancer Do you know if Lex started a new project yet?

  • @ericmsandoval I don't know, I often check the internet for any signs of a new project but so far I haven't found anything.

  • @SevereThroatCancer i love this sound. that sucks that it happened like that because this cd is pretty good. the worst part of daughters was the singer and he was actually pretty coherent on this in terms of melody. he was good on canada songs but he was mostly screaming. hell songs: ehhh he didn't know what to do, and on this..it seems like he figured out what he was trying to do so it depresses me that daughters is over.

  • Jons pretty good, Alex is original, but the core of daughters is the guitar work, always has been, I dont care about anything else except the guitars, and the guitar work on this album is incredible

  • @AveryDanger I like it despite this. It doesn't have the same edge as their other stuff, but I have yet to find a band with the same sound.

  • @AveryDanger honestly, I'm fine with the change. There was loads of tension in the band, and the guy was just tired of playing that certain kind of shit. I literally just finished having a really long, personal convo with Nick via Facebook and the guy is a really good dude. And I love Daughters in any of their stylistic variations. Along with Fang Island.

  • @AveryDanger This album isn't bad but I have to agree, their older stuff will always be better.

    More disorganization.

This newer stuff sounds like a gothicy noise core type of thing.... too damn poppy also

  • Noise Rock + Mathcore + Southern Rock influences= jizz.

    EVERYWHERE.

    FUCK.

  • ya i'm pretty upset that someone said this sounds like as the sun sets.

  • man vocals suck... Instruments are fine

  • came too :>

  • this song rocks so hard! it seriously can kick ass anytime! nick the lead guitar players riff are sick as hell< shit the whole band is sick and awesome as hell!

  • Amazing.

  • Love the living shit out of this album.

  • Noisecore? this is a far cry from canada songs, seems okay though.

  • Fucking A.

  • your mother is a bitch named burnt plastic

  • I just came. <3

  • @tuberatyahoo you have never heard as the sun sets then.. nothing alike. at all. not a single bit.

on top of that, this song rules. one of my faves on there new shit.

  • @fluuginsmaltzer As it's the same band... I imagine there'd be similarities...

  • @tuberatyahoo Well it is the same guys, what did you expect?

  • This is pretty cool as well
