@Musketnpistol Islam or the fanatical section as you are probably referring to is in fact 30-40 year old side-section of the more traditional belief system of the Islam. In fact before the crusades - No muslim ever got it into his mind as to spread such a fanatical belief system as it was blasphemy against the koran. Only after the crusades and the betrayal of the Sykes-Picot treaty of 1917 radical offspring of the Islam started to appear.
@Musketnpistol - the funny part is, the reason for starting the crusades was officially to protect the christians, jews and religious sites in the holy land. But in fact - Jews and arabic christians had a better life under muslims then under european christians. Jews especially as they where marked as 'christ slayers' by the chatolic church. The whole 'jews have all the money' issue is even a direct result of a church order of christians being prohibited to charge rent for lending money.
