@cady0124, It's a demo singer. We don't know who she is. It is not important who she is actually, because hikkup is not her song. It belongs to GG, whether they are going to include hikkup in their future album or not, unless they relinquish their copy right. When a song is presented to the intended singer, the composer typically hires an amateur or a Demo singer to give him/her an idea how the song sounds.

SM keeps beating the dead horse with "the boys". That blockheaded moron somehow adamantly believe that the boys will be welcomed in US due to the old reputation of a washedup composer Riley. Can't they see its moderate running was due to the GG's global asset itself not the merit of the song? I don't say it will fail, especially GG seems too big now to fail and I have no stomach to wish anybody evil, but please think again. They have better songs available, Why 8 of "the boys"? Just annoying.

The singer here is a so called demo singer, who sings the song in order to give an idea about how it would sound beforehand. Composers hire amateur singers to do that or sometime sing themselves, let's say, provided that they are good enough. For example, the composer of Let it rain sang its Demo himself, BTW he is pretty good.

By now I am sure there are a bunch of producers in US who are dying to work with GG. They should try a full album. I think the first thing SM should do is target the genre for GG in US. It would be fun if GG tries pop-country, something like Dixie Chicks. or something in between electro and country, something new. But SM looks too busy digging gold.

Except for the fact that US is the biggest market for music artists, I don't know why they should bother even recognition from us so much any more than other countries like Germany or England since they are already internationally famous. Maybe it's their stage chemistry or impeccable choreo.

They might not be categorically the best but the combined charisma seems unprecedented so far. Whatever GG does in an english album, even if it's just average with adequate lyrics and some feel of country, not something like "the boys", they will be fine. A decent producer is all they need to nail it.

@estidi No hatred. It's just "The boys" came short as a title song. If SM really wanted G.G. to expand as an artist, as they excused themselves for, they shouldn't have run such a risk using a washed-up composer like Riley. He is a mediocre at best. What's most annoying about SM was they were blinded by Riley's nobody gives a damn about now career with MK. Such unique authentic talent as G.G. won't need any other name to put their name in US than their own.

I probably was too harsh to the 3rd album in general. After all it's not an English album. Anyway if "the boys" succeeds, at least a moderate one, the credit will go to G.G., not the song. As I see, G.G. has a rare charisma and artisitc flare on stage with their mesmerizing choreography to upgrade. But I just wanted to point out that there are here in US a bunch of composers and producers, who can do the job done better with decent and up-to-date pop with less fuss.

Someone found out that its copyright belongs to girls' generation, which means either G.G. already recorded this song for the then upcoming third album or about to record it near future. But by a twist of fate, when it was leaked, SM decided to drop it off the third album, which's in retrospect a pretty stupid thing they have ever done.
