Not really dude. Battlefield 1942 when it was first released was known as an arcade sandbox game. I love it dearly, but the tanks weren't realistic like in Operation Flashpoint (2001) where you had to have 4 guys in the tank to completely man it. One guy in bf has always been able to drive and control the cannon of a tank. Also Battlefield hasn't been around as long as Americas Army. I remember playing AAO in July 2002 and BF 1942 was released in September of that same year.
