@xaer0knight it's a different culture, the fans are much more reserved. puroresu is considered more of a legitimate sport than in the west. There aren't really faces or heels. Cheaters get booed even if they're popular, and if either wrestler pulls off a good move he'll get applause. A quiet crowd and polite applause means they are paying attention to the match. Big pops are cheap and easy to get, and only last a short time anyway. the real skill is telling an involving story in the ring.

eddie and benoit with the juice moved them to the top of the buisness in the wwf, both were champs. steiner moved to the top of wcw when no one watched. steiner got the biggest, but never was at the top of the sport like eddie and chris. both guys were 5'8 cruiserweights, turned into bonafide world champs in wwf.

I really need to watch more these old matchs. This was the first time I seen Eddie springboard off the top rope, set-up was great the landing not so much. Great ending! Forget about your figure fours and sharpshooters, the Texas Clover Leaf is the best...just look at Eddie's face when Dean sets it up.

Under 10 min., I vote the WWE show this instead of a bullshit Diva match or when they fill the time with the same ol' promo we've been watching all month.

this match is one of the shortest near four star matches before rey and kurt angle at summerslam they manage to do a lot of great wrestling under ten minutes which is crazy i miss this type of wrestling the wwe has not manage to put on super technical masterpiece matches in a while since angle vs benoit I would say but now I want to see their ultimate classic at ecw and wcw which I heard is a five star classic I also want to see dean vs chris benoit at wcw
