@eliinnos I agree with you on that one. I wouldn't call it pathetic. Maybe in poor taste. It's not THAT heavy, anyway. But the quality of the music makes up for it I think, with regards to both the musicianship and capturing the heavy spirit of conscious reggae. If they sounded commercialized/poppy (SOJA, Rebelution, etc.) it would be utter shit and unforgiveable.

According to my little knowledge, groundation is definitely the best reggae band nowadays. Never heard no bands playing both roots reggae and jazz/improvisation stuff. They're far away from those ragga bands playing for money, babes, and fancy cars.

Do anyone know another band pushing reggae forward like they do ?

And even more... considering these people arent in Marleys time or place... they dont have to fight off press for weed or anything, left to speak the truth even deeper, so their songs arent about so much about smokin pot none at all actually, their staying on point witch is Men's heart in front of God and the people against it. listenin to their music is like reading the bible... and people may not even realizing it.
