@FBicoolshaman it is the same thing just not gas usually... originally the toyota pickup in the us was called the hilux but they changed that when the first gen hilux surf or 4runner came out. and the 2012 hilux looks like it is junk. nothing like the 80s and 90s hilux. the tacoma is much better for doing stuff that is in this commercial. But I could be wrong.
@117nathanmyers Generally, the Tacoma is regarded as less durable than the Hilux because it's built to be a smooth and comfortable daily driver, whereas the Hilux is a work truck. The frames and bodies of the Tacomas aren't as strong. I agree about the newest Hilux not being all that great looking, though I wish they'd give us the option for the 3.0L diesel.
This one is way more awesome than the one with the two gay dudes flying a glider. Oh, who am I kidding, thats the greatest commercial ever!
